Fantastic place to stay if you love aviation (and even if you don’t). Clean, modern, and right on the lake watching floatplanes take off. Excellent communications and super easy to come and go as you please. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful cabin

We loved our stay at the homer seaplane base. Everything was well laid out and we had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. I especially appreciated the laundry facilities after days on the road. The view from the cabins is unbeatable. Easy check in, comfy beds, fast wifi. We loved it

Great location with lots of amenities

The view of Beluga Lake from the Dockside cabin was awesome. The cabin has everything you need to be able to eat in, but also close to restaurants if you want to eat out. The washer and dryer are perfect if you want to keep your suitcase light by washing and re-wearing clothes. The parking was right near the door making an easy trip of unloading the car. And the biggest bonus is being able to walk down the hill to the floatplane for an early morning bear viewing trip! My husband couldn’t sleep on the bed because it hurt his back, but I slept fine on it, so that would depend on your personal preference and tolerance. The shower is a low step in and the lights over the sink area were probably the best we had on this trip. I would stay here again.

Perfect for our first trip to Alaska

Our stay at this VRBO on a pristine seaplane lake was absolutely amazing! The views were spectacular, and watching planes land and take off was the highlight of our trip. Not only did we get to enjoy the seaplane base, but we also made a reservation to fly with them on one of their excursions, which made it the absolute perfect location. The convenience of having a restaurant onsite, along with a fully equipped kitchen, made our stay even more enjoyable. The place was clean and very comfortable, making it the perfect spot for our first visit to Alaska.

Wonderful place to stay in Homer

The new cabins at Homer Seaplane Base are modern, spacious, well outfitted including a kitchen, comfortable, and have lovely views out over the lake. There is a delicious Mexico-themed restaurant on site. We had a spectacular seaplane tour with our expert pilot Jing out over Kenai Fjords National Park, the Harding Icefields, and an exciting landing on Lake Clark in Lake Clark National Park. They also fly bear-watching expeditions. Staff were friendly, helpful, and informative. Altogether a delightful experience!

Great little rental in a great location

This was all we needed for our visit to Homer. Its location - proximity to town and the Homer Spit - was ideal for us. Clean, quiet, and access to a fire pit, restaurant, and picnic tables. We loved watching the seaplanes. With earplugs I didn't hear them except the first morning (6 am!), and I'm a light sleeper. The area is otherwise so quiet! Blackout curtains in the bedroom were great.There was no interaction with the host while we stayed which wasn't a problem!We appreciated the kitchen set up, but would have liked another few glasses, coffee cups, silver settings, plates, bowls. We weren't going to use the dishwasher until we left but had to wash dishes often. No recycling (maybe it's hard in Homer but a family member's rental home had it).Another few bath and hand towels for our 4-night stay would also have been appreciated.Bring flops/slippers - the owners ask that you remove shoes in the house.All in all a great stay!
