Pros: the price. For the location, accessibility, proximity of public transport, airport buses, restaurants and shops, the price can't be beat. I actually find the room quite comfortable as I was here for a month. Plus people shouldnt complain about space, HK has the highest commercial rent in the whole world so I was actually surprised at how roomy the bathroom was, for example. Helpful housekeeping team though they sometimes miss cleaning the floor even if I explicitly requested it. That being said the cons: two weeks after I moved in a butcher opened up shop right next to the entrance which is truly quite gross. Hotel should really talk to them and make sure they keep their shop front clean and meat slabs tucked well inside the space. The hotel sits atop one of the oldest wet markets in HK so youre bound to smell a bunch of different things and it won't be the cleanest around in the summer, but street cleaners do a great job in keeping the area as clean as possible. Relatives told me that the place has already cleaned up a lot in comparison to many years ago. Again, you're here for the price, so please be realistic and don't expect 5 star ambience at a 2 star rate. It's Hong Kong, just get real.
Front desk staff is hit or miss. My fridge did not work for the entire duration of my stay (1 month) and they turned down my request to change to a new room which is very unfortunate. Thankfully it's winter or I would have been demanded for a room change. Shower is weak.
