Access to the beach and a block away from Kalakaua avenue. We had partial ocean view from the 8th floor. It was great to wake up to that and watch the surfers be already in the water at 6 am! Housekeeping was good. Front desk also very friendly and quick to respond. We did check in at 1:30 am the next day since our connecting flight got delayed (We were supposed to check in at 11 pm). Our reservation was cancelled as a no show a few minutes before we arrived but we were able to reclaim it with a 15 minute wait. The property is a little dated, the tub being a sort of a mini walk in tub and the pool was Ok as well, but a good bang for the buck if you need to only get a good night's sleep. By no means a luxury hotel and they do have a nightly resort fee. The breakfast was pretty filling with eggs, salad and fruit being the staple. That was mixed in with potato fritters and egg fried rice on some days. Yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, bread made up the rest. At the end of the week, we did get tired of some of the stuff but overall a pretty filling free breakfast if you don't mind the repetition. All in all we had a pleasant stay.
