“Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!”

“It’s was amazing !!! The 3 separate buildings, a private pool, cabana , outdoor Showers & soaker tub ….it was simply the best place we’ve ever stayed !! The wildlife during the day, and the night is just absolutely phenomenal! The stars are like something you’ve never seen before in your life if you’ve never been to a place that dark. “Absolutely a beautiful property and AS ADVERTISED! The location is key- close enough to many great restaurants and bars but far enough for the seclusion we desired for our honeymoon. We used it all: kayaks, paddle boards, bikes and all were in good working order. This house really was everything you need in Placencia. Kitchen is fully equipped. We had an in-home chef make a meal one night and they were able to do it all without needing to bring anything but the food. The AC blows cold, deck……
