  • Sandpiper is getting an upgrade for 2026! We have moved Sandpiper East of Eagle's nest up higher with even better views. A new 16x32 covered deck! Hot tub and grill, dining relaxing chairs are all up on the deck. Getting close to some interium pictures on how it will look and the views! It's really amazing, you'll love it this year.

    Beautiful view over hot brook canyon.

    King size master, bunk room with double and single beds. Sofa bed in living room for 1. Sleeps 6 total.

    Brand new deck just added, for the hot tub and nice place to sit and relax.

    Let us know if you would like the 4 person hot tub during your visit.

    Nice large bathroom and shower, fireplace, 39in popup tv with prime streaming, dinning table inside and outside under the 20ft awning.

    Lots of big windows to enjoy the canyon views throughout your entire stay.

    Ac, stove, frig, WiFi... All the comforts of home. Coffee pot is a combo Keurig / drip.

    Enjoy everything from beautiful sunrises to amazing sunsets.

    Rv is parked in a secluded area in the trees close to the cliff, but still easy to get to with a car or motorcycle and well hidden from the main house.

    Please remember this is a RV/Camping experience, the RV does have AC, but in the hot summer months we can not guarantee the RV will be as cool as your home. The nights typically drop down in the 50's/60s even in the summer, so with open windows, it usually is very comfortable sleeping.

    Non-Smoking in the RV.

    Just 5 beautiful winding canyon miles from hot springs.

The RV provides enough space for family of 4. The Bathroom was spacious, and hot tub on deck was a plus. The kitchen had all you needed to make and serve meals. We loved the privacy and the view of the surrounding land. The night sky is the best view of all.

Beautiful place to unwind after a day of site seeing.

A perfect way to unwind after seeing the sites of the Black Hills area. The property is a little slice of heaven, the views are beautiful. The Sandpiper was the prefect size for our family of 3. The hosts are really friendly and had great recommendations of things to do in Hot Springs. Make sure to visit the Mammoth Site, it was an unexpected surprise for us and ended up being our favorite thing we did!

This was a beautiful home away from home for my recent solo trip to South Dakota. The RV accommodation was very comfortable, and the views from the back porch were gorgeous. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The drive through a red rock Canyon to get to the vacation rental was stunning. The location was not far from the Black Hills or the Badlands. I saw Buffalo, wild turkeys, Prairie dogs, and even a wolf in my drives in the Black Hills. I’m so glad that I got to visit this beautiful part of South Dakota.

What a beautiful stay!

Wade and Patricia are wonderful hosts! The camper had everything you could wish for. The solitude and view were exactly what was needed. We were close to all the major attractions and enjoyed the fact we could go and do our tourist things and the come back to the tranquility.

Great stay!

It was a fantastic place to stay! Well appointed and very comfortable. The views were amazing and the outdoor space is perfect to hang out on all day. The only issue we had was the shower didnt have any water pressure so we resorted to wash cloths for bathing.

Everything about this place was wonderful. Hot Springs is a great place to stay away from the crowds of other towns in the Black Hills with a lot of outdoor adventures to be had. The Sandpiper is on a gorgeous bit of land with a beautiful view, and you can't go wrong with dog-friendly and a hot tub. This was a special vacation since it was our first with our son (5-months old), and he slept great because he was able to have privacy and quiet. Thank you for a great stay!

Nature Retreat

What a beautiful property! Nestled atop a tree-lined cliff and overlooking a valley, this location is an oasis for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. We enjoyed watching wild turkeys, deer, robins, rabbits, and other wildlife going about their daily routines. We felt welcome and relaxed as soon as we arrived.

Amazing stay!

We had an amazing time! Waking up to the beautiful view of the canyon was our favorite part of our stay. The Sandpiper was perfect for the 2 of us. Very clean and the bed was sooo comfy! Sitting around the fire at night was very relaxing and the visit from the mule deer was such a nice surprise! Our dog enjoyed it as well. Thank you for an amazing time at your little slice of heaven!
