Best house we’ve ever stayed in
We brought our adult kids and partners to spend a long weekend and view the eclipse. The house was perfect. Each couple had their own room with a king bed and bathroom. The kitchen was very well stocked and we cooked multiple meals per day. They provided kayaks, life jackets, floaters, etc. The house itself is beautiful and the lake views are spectacular. Good access to hiking trails and Hot Springs National Park, although a bit of a drive to that. It’s an hour from Little Rock airport and most shopping is outside the large village, so did require driving. They provided good info on things to do in the area. Lots of birds in the area to watch and hear. Really loved this house.

Golfing Group
We had a group of 12 golfers. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms. The kitchen area, living area and kitchen dining area was great for us to all gather for dinner. We plan to go again in the fall. We really like the area.

Easter Getaway with Family
We had a great time at The Sanctuary! We spent Easter weekend here with adults and little ones and there was plenty to do for everyone! The property is beautiful and being on the lake is so peaceful. We spent our mornings drinking coffee on the balcony, our afternoons by the lake, and our nights by the firepit! Fun was had by all and The Sanctuary was the perfect house for our little family getaway!

Family Gathering

Family gathering
We enjoyed getting 4 families together in one house. Everyone had their own bed and space to escape when needed. The weather was too wet and cool to enjoy the outdoors but we did a little fishing off the dock. The neighbors are close but we barely saw anyone else. Would definitely come back! Thank you for sharing your home!

Weekend Family Getaway
We absolutely loved our stay! Our group had 8 adults and 5 kids under the age of 3 and there was plenty of room for everyone! The house was clean and well stocked. Communication with the property owner was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay!

amazing lake home
Guys golf trip, 4 master beds plus 6 bunks can sleep 10 guys in own beds. We had a group of 8 and it is a great home. Grill on deck right outside kitchen, hot tub, dock for a swim or paddle. 3 separate living spaces and tvs. Owners are excellent communicators, very responsive. 5 stars.

Golf group
Great property, plenty of room for 12 golfers. Everything you need to cook etc is there for you to use. Our group has stayed there twice and we really enjoy the property, plenty of room to have separate conversations going at the same time. Also, the property manager is very quick to respond to any concern. Highly recommend this property.

This house has some of the best views of the lake and mountains in Hot Springs Village. Every morning we sat out on the deck enjoying the weather and beautiful backdrop. 10/10 recommend

Oh Dear! The Views!
Enjoyed waking up to the amazing view. Home was super spacious. Had plenty of room for our 12 guest (ranging from all ages) . We all had a blast kayaking, swimming and soaking in nature. One of my favorite things was seeing dear across the road everyday. Nice change from the Dallas traffic and heat. Any issues we had were addressed quickly. Made some great memories which made checkout bittersweet. Highly recommend for an extended family stay. Hope to return soon!

Super Family Retreat!
Great home for our annual family vacation. This year, we had 6 adults and 7 children. Everybody voted this house best for the past five years. The neighborhood is great and the people we met were very nice. We found several treasures at two estate sales and found homemade jams/jellies, etc. at the weekly neighborhood farmer's market. Whoever built this home did a fabulous job. The walls were well insulated, keeping house over flow noise to a minimum. The rooms on all three levels flow perfectly and the furnishings are second to none. The kitchen was every well equipped with all high end appliances and above average glassware, dinnerware, utensils, etc. The only thing missing was an ice machine. The decks were great as well as the fire pit area. We enjoyed using the pellet grill, a first for my husband, who now wants one. We had only a couple minor issues, i.e., empty propane bottles, but they were remedied ASAP. Enjoyed the kayaks and toys left at the dock for our use. I can recommend this house for any large gathering, you will not be disappointed.

Wonderful Family Vacation
We had an amazing extended family vacation in Hot Springs Village! This was the nicest house rental we've ever stayed in. There was ample space for 8 adults, one teenager and 4 kids. Everyone enjoyed the home music system, game room, popcorn machine, paddle boards, floats, kayaks, decks, dock and beautiful view of the lake! The whole family loved swimming/playing/hanging out in the lake right off of the dock. The kitchen was well stocked. We didn't want for anything. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Long overdue reunion with friends
This was the perfect home for our group. We had a family from KC with 6 and one from STL with 7 and it worked out perfectly. 6 teenage boys shared the bunk room, 2 teenage girls shared the adjacent bedroom, a working grad student had her own suite in the bottom level and both sets of parents had their own rooms on the main level. It was a perfect fit. Not only were there a lot of beds, they were all extremely comfortable, to the point where we're buying a mattress just like one in the Master Bedroom...best sleep we've had in a long time. There is so much to do inside and outside of the house that we just couldn't do it all! We all enjoyed the dock area relaxing/swimming, rented a boat/tube from Balboa Marina, kayaked, and paddle boarded. Even though the fish weren't biting, we enjoyed the quiet time just casting and taking in God's beautiful creation. We made most meals at home and the kitchen has everything you'll need. If you prefer to cook outside, there's not one, not two, but THREE different grills to choose from. We cooked corn and veggies on the propane grill while the protein was smoked up perfectly on the pellet grill (another item on my "wish list of purchases"). If you need to take a call, check emails, or just take a nap, the library is your spot. We dubbed it as the smoking lounge...no we didn't smoke in there...as it reminded us of where men would gather to smoke cigars/pipes, drink brandy/bourbon and solve world problems. I ran out of space! JustGO

Amazing Family Vacation in Hot Springs Village
This was such a great stay for our family and extended family. The homeowners were very responsive and helpful. Everything was in great condition and it was awesome to have so many comfortable beds for everyone to sleep in. The best part was hanging out down at the dock and getting to use the paddleboards/floats/kayaks that were provided. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a wonderful family vacation!

Beautiful House
Check in went smoothly. We were contacted by the owner soon after arrival to check with us about any needs. The house was very large, 5,000 sq.ft., that everyone could find their own space. The library was used a lot for video games. The kitchen had all the cooking needs that you could ever need. Everyone really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Overall, just a wonderful experience.

Best house on the lake
If you are visiting the wonderful Hot Springs, Arkansas area and do not stay at David's amazing property you are going to regret it. This property is probably the nicest VRBO I have ever stayed at. Large amount of space, perfect for groups, and the most King size beds I have seen at a property. Plenty of things come with the house, 2 single person kayaks, one double person kayak, inflatables, 2 stand up paddleboards, and numerous inflatables to enjoy on the water. If you love listening to music, the whole home and exterior music system will be sure to rock your socks off as well! Beautiful place, easy to work with owner, what more could you ask for?

Even better than the pictures
First, the hosts are a delight.. excellent communicators, from beginning to end. The house itself is beyond incredible, and photos can’t do it justice! There is lots of space for everyone at every age! We had 8 people from our family staying there, ages 5 to 63 represented, and we all agree this is the best VRBO stay we have ever experienced. You will not be disappointed! Views were amazing. The home furnishings and accessories were of superior quality. Although we had a minor heating issue, Becca jumped right on it and had repairs made within hours. Plenty of room at dining table, and the kitchen is well-appointed. They truly have thought of everything! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Property
This property and its host is worth more than 5 stars! My family stayed there to celebrate my Mom’s 65th birthday. The property was clean, the views were beautiful and the home was equipped with everything we needed. Communication with the host was easy and he was willing to help with any questions we had. Everyone was so comfortable in this home and Being right off the lake was a plus! I highly recommend it to any and everyone!

Amazing stay! Modern clean lakehouse was everything and had everything we needed and wanted.
We had amazing time on a guys golf trip. 8 of us stayed at the house and there was plenty of room. Not all of us had our own rooms but given the number of bunk beds and couches we were still very comfortable. The house had everything you need and want. Gas grill, dock with with boat slip and kayaks, outdoor fire pit, great decks with modern furniture, huge kitchen, game area and bar downstairs, you name it, it has it. Only recommendation is to plan ahead for food and drink as grocery isn't super close and restaurants in the village have unique hours and liquor laws. But really there wasn't anything to complain about! Great trip and highly recommend this house!

Sun and Fun at the Sanctuary
We had a girls’ family reunion in July 2022 at the Sanctuary and enjoyed every precious moment! Here are a few highlights about this rental: •The host was easy to communicate with and very welcoming. •The home was absolutely lovely - spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable for 10 of us. •The dock and lake were so fun for swimming! We also rented a pontoon boat from the Balboa Marina and enjoyed the larger part of the lake. • There were a ton of water toys. • The kitchen is very well appointed. •The beds and bedding were all very comfy. •Views were lovely. •Lighting and ceiling fans were wonderful. •There were no mosquitoes!! I could go on and on! We had a fantastic time and would gladly rent this special property again! Note: If you plan to swim, there are plenty of towels! I’d strongly recommend comfortable water shoes for walking down to the dock and getting in and out of the water.

Great Stay in Hot Springs Village
Six Adults and five children 3-12 years of age. Plenty to do in the multiple entertaining rooms. The Jacuzzi didn’t get used because of multiple 100 degree days but looked clean with easy access off the game room floor. All bedrooms were very nicely kept with comfortable beds. We rented a pontoon boat close by on two days and enjoyed the very clean private lake. We would definitely stay here again

Great for multiple families
Great house on Lake Balboa. All the rooms for adults had King size beds and everyone slept comfortably. Deep water dock so the kids had a blast diving and jumping into the water. Bunk room was great on the third floor and kept a lot of the noise out of the main floor area. We had a couple of issues with things upon arrival, and David was super quick to reply and help work on a solution. Thanks for the stay and we had a wonderful time!

The owner was very attentive The home was very lovely and the lake was peaceful
There was a couple of issues and the owner immediately took care of it. This allowed us to continue to enjoy our family vacation. Everything was provided by the owner to enjoy the house and lake. I would highly recommend this house. The walk to the lake is steep. But we used it it everyday.

Family Vacation
We’ve stayed in several VRBO properties with no problem. This property was one of the nicer but the poorest when it came to the basics. At arrival, it was very obvious that the property had not been cleaned well. The bathrooms were extremely dirty. Hair in tubs & toilets. Pink soap scum in tubs. Brown nasty stuff around the sinks. Kitchen counters had sticky orange substance on them. The pantry was so dirty we didn’t use it. The refrigerator had not been cleaned out. We threw away a half a garbage bag of opened items. The outside grill had not been cleaned & we had to purchase a grill brush to clean the grates. The popcorn machine had not been cleaned so we steered clear. We spent our first evening purchasing cleaning supplies & cleaning before the rest of our family arrived & that’s not a fun way to spend a vacation. Next, the bedrooms are all very very hot at night. Then when you wake in the morning, the rest of the house is freezing. In the master bedroom, there are no curtains or blinds AND no bathroom door. Anyone on the balcony, especially if they are grilling, will have a clear view into the bathroom especially as you get out of the shower. The kitchen sink did not drain well & the disposal did not work. Lastly, from the bottom level, there are no stairs to get down to the lake. Instead, there is a very sharp curved incline that most adults, especially the older, had difficulty navigating. Our older guest had to be assisted up & down & then never felt comfortable going back down again. The setting is beautiful, and if the house had been cleaned/kept up, it could have been so much better.

We are deeply sorry for the house not being cleaned to our standards. I wish you had reached out to us and we would have sent the cleaning crew back out to resolve this. We have never had this problem with our cleaning crew but would have rectified it immediately. As you can see from our other reviews, this is not the norm for our home. Sanctuary at Cedar Creek is our personal family lakehouse. Not only do we expect the quality of care to be high for our family/friends as they visit, but the satisfaction of our guests is of utmost importance. We strive to go above & beyond in making sure your time here is relaxing and enjoyable. Regarding the curtains in the master bedroom, I apologize that you did not feel you had enough privacy. As the master bedroom is off the very outer edge of the deck, we have never had anyone say they didn't feel it was private enough. We value the suggestions of our guests & appreciate you sharing this. We are at the lake now for the 4th of July and have not had problems with the A/C or kitchen disposal but would have been happy to resolve any issues in a prompt manner so that you could focus on your vacation. Glad you found the setting beautiful and hope your time here was one your family will always treasure!

Great home / scenic views
Very nice home for large family gathering. Descriptions are accurate and met our expectations. Bedding was especially comfortable and we appreciated that extra. Host was easy going and responsive to one minor problem we had using the beach area. We brought our boat and enjoyed lake activities. The home sits pretty high off the water so the walk up/down to the lake will challenge you to get everything in one trip. We would definitely return given the opportunity.

Wonderful Vacation Home
We had 9 adults and 2 children (6 & 7) and this home absolutely accommodated our large group perfectly. There are two king bedrooms on the main level of the home with kitchen, living, dining. Then upstairs is another king room and the open bunk room with 3 sets of bunk beds and a bathroom in the hall for all to share. Then downstairs with the media area, game and ping-pong tables and bar is another king room with a bathroom in the hall. Two days into our stay we realized there was a half bath on the main level just in front of the stairs that go down to the lower level. Don't miss this like we did! It is a really fun bathroom! :) Everything we needed was there and there was plenty of space for us all. The lake, dock and fire pit were a huge hit and we will certainly be back when there is warmer weather so we can enjoy these things more!

Amazing home with breathtaking views and plenty to keep the kids busy
My friends and I rented this home for a mother-daughter trip. Coming from the Austin area it was an easy day trip destination. The home was perfect for our group with plenty of room both in and outside to run around. The home is larger than advertised and had an entire media room/theatre and a huge master bathroom that were not in the photos. The bedding was heavenly. We could tell the owners invested time and money into choosing the best for their guests in both the bedding, furnishings, and well-stocked kitchen. We went during the winter and the many fireplaces and hot tub were perfect on the cold days/nights. We had a few issues with an empty propane tank but the owners had it filled immediately. They were very responsive to our questions and needs. We definitely would go back and take our husbands and sons. Being on the lake this would be a fantastic place during warmer weather to have a family vacation.

Great house in Hot Springs Village for all ages!
Our group had a great trip to HSV - the kids LOVED the game area downstairs including an arcade game, ping pong and big screen TV. The adults loved the fire table upstairs and the spacious living spaces indoors. You can tell the work that David and Becca have put in to the Sanctuary. We checked out the dock and tried a little fishing and there were even fun lighting by the dock for us. We didn't get to use the outside firepit though it looked lovely too :-) Very easy to communicate with David throughout our stay though we did not experience any problems. I have family that live in Hot Springs Village - and we will definitely try to book this house again for our next family trip!

Top of the line lake house
Having stayed at a lot of rental houses, I can say this one is one of the best. The 3 levels, with a full bedroom on each (plus the bonus 6-bunk room) allows a large family to spread out comfortably. The different levels are also well isolated from each other (did not hear my loud college students). There are 2 very nice kayaks and 2 big paddleboards, along with every size life jacket you'll need. There is also a FULL kitchen, which means you can find what you need to cook and also serve for the size family that will be staying here. In addition. And a full set of spices which I rarely find. There is even a wine fridge and a second full fridge downstairs. And the movie-style popcorn maker. We used the BBQ grill and also used the pellet smoker twice. Made some smoked salmon that people swooned over. The neighborhood is super quiet and you can walk a nice loop or two without hitting any big streets. It is also right off the main road De Soto, which you will value if you have not been here before because the inner roads are windy and confusing. All in all, 11 of us across 3 generations loved this stay.

Beautiful lake home!!
Pictures do not do this home justice! So many nice amenities and comfortable space for our family of 10 and a baby. The lake was so clean and peaceful. We spent our time playing games, cooking meals, hiking, and enjoying the lake. We would definitely come again!

Great house and location
What a great place! We had two families with a total of 4 adults and 6 kids (ages from 19-13). This house has a great layout and plenty of space for everyone. We spent the day hanging out on the dock and in the water. At night, we would cook in a great kitchen and then sit out on the deck and enjoy the sunset. The host was very helpful and immediately replied and got us a new propane tank when we ran out. Overall a great place that we plan to use again.

What a beautiful property! The pictures don’t even do it justice, and we so appreciated how beautifully decorated and well-equipped it was! We loved all the floats, kayaks, and paddle boards especially. Thanks for a great stay!

Fantastic place
This is a beautiful home with lots of room for our extended family. Great place for relaxing in the water by the dock just floating or taking a boat out pulling tubes behind for the teenagers. Would definitely recommend but the only drawback Is the steep walk back up to the house. The younger ones were fine but it was a little hard the first time for me.

A Quiet Getaway
This property was spectacular. At one point in our stay, the four year old said, "I don't want to go home. I love this vacation house!" It was great having paddleboards and kayaks we could use on the lake and there were plenty of TVs and smart speakers to relax to inside the house. In addition, we enjoyed the trails and playgrounds in HSV and it didn't take long to get to Hot Springs for other activities. HSV was very quiet and peaceful while we were there. The layout of the house also worked well for our combined family. Our biggest concern was ADA accessibility but all of the entrances to the main floor only had one small step. This did not detract in any way from an amazing week away. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Great Stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely Hot Springs Village home. Great lake view and easy access to the lake. Quiet relaxing neighborhood. The house was very clean and well stocked! Multiple outside balconies all had great views. We hope to visit this property again!

Wonderful Birthday Trip
My family and my in-laws had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday and my brother in law birthday. The house was beautiful. The next time we come to Hot springs we will definitely book it again.
