We loved Glendalough! Everything was as advertised. Plenty of space, great screened porches, wonderful view from the 2-story dock! Would definitely stay again.
Every year our family (16) rent a place in the mountains pre thanksgiving. This year we decided on a lake property and we decided that this was the best location for our various ages of our grandkids. We do expect to return soon
This was a wonderful vacation house for a large group. Our family reunion was very well accommodated. The front screen porch was the absolute favorite place to hang. The 3 refrigerators was brilliant and well used. The rental agency was very helpful and responsive. Location, location, location, deep water and close to the Mitchell’s Marina. Great boats and food.
My family and I had a wonderful time together relaxing and enjoying ourselves. The house was amazing with basically all the comforts of home!! I was totally impressed with the kitchen and needed nothing for cooking meals. We enjoyed the dock area and swimming in the lake, canoeing, the sunset view, and a fire at night. I was so happy to have found Glendalogh as it was the perfect place for my entire family to be with me as I celebrated my commencement for my doctorate from LU.
Beautiful place! Lots of room! Property was advertised as pet friendly but we were not able to bring the 3 dogs we planned on, only one 8 lb dog. There was an old chicken wing in the cushion of the chair which was rather distasteful but that’s really up to the cleaning folks. Having to make up and strip your own beds is a little more than anyone wants to do on vacation but it is certainly known beforehand. Kitchen is VERY well equipped. Views from the dock are amazing! A little disappointed that we needed to bring hand soap for every bathroom. We had 5 cars and parking was difficult so if there are more, it will be tighter. Excellent neighborhood to walk in and have children in. Overall, we would certainly return but would be better prepared for some of the nuances.
We had a group of 11 family members and could have EASILY fit 4-5 more. The 2 very large dorm style bedrooms upstairs are perfect for families. It was nice for us to be able to spread out. It was perfectly cozy and rustic without feeling like we were ‘roughing it’. We will be back.
The house was very large and had plenty of room for us. All the necessary amenities were on hand in terms of cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. We did not need to go out and get anything.
The hot tub worked (I've stayed in places where the hot tub didnt work).
The dock was great and the place has a great location on the lake.
All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed the place. We would come back again.
We had 8 adults and 7 kids with us, my husband and I, our three children and their families, aged almost 3 to almost 14. Everyone loved the time. They enjoyed the house, the property, the location and nearby activities (mostly short hikes). We had not all been together in over three years and it was a great place to meet.
Great place, clean- Lots of room inside and out. Having 3 refrigerators was wonderful. We did some repair work on docks (added cleats). We ran out of silverware. It would be nice to be able to see the dock from the porches. Need buoys off the dock to discourage fast boats from coming so close.

Absolutely perfect!
We had a group of 16 and all fit very comfortably in this home. The views are phenomenal, and even during Memorial Day Weekend this part of the lake was surprisingly calm. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could ever need, the grill was great, and the double decker dock was to die for. We lucked out with the weather and were able to spend many, many hours on the dock. This is the perfect home for families or (in our case) old high school friends. We have already decided we will be coming back next year!
