"The place and grounds were beautiful. The hosts were extraordinarily accommodating."

"This house has beautiful views and it was only about 45 min to Williamsburg. It is on Hills Bay, which flows into the Chesapeake Bay. The water is very shallow and would be great for younger kids. We brought kayaks and enjoyed our time on the water. It would be fantastic for someone that owns a boat too. The water doesn’t have many waves, but we tied a party size float to part of the dock and all the kids, ages 10-19, loved our time there. Since I’m the first review, I think I might be the first...

"This cottage was perfect! Very comfortable, everything we needed was available! The location to the Yorktown waterfront was our favorite thing. We took a walk every evening to the water. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Yorktown area! "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay at the little blue house. It is well furnished with a completely equipped kitchen. Peaceful water views. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds. Easy access to White Stone, Kilmarnock and Urbanna. We took advantage of getting take out at The River Market in White Stone and Something Different in Urbanna. Forrest was VERY responsive. All in all….a great stay. "

"Donna and Mike were such good hosts. They've compiled a binder with just about everything you need to know about the island, the area, restaurants, etc. The cottage feels like home, and it's proximity to the York River provided lovely views, as well as a wide array of birds, from eagles to osprey to herons and more. The cottage was so comfortable that we didn't even mind being rained in for a day. "
