Fort Gibson Lake is a 20,000-surface-acre lake nestled in the hills of eastern Oklahoma, just 50 miles from Tulsa but far from civilization. With 225 miles of shoreline, this crystal-clear lake feels like your own private oasis (and is great for fishing!)

Drive 30 minutes to Tahlequah for a relaxing float trip down the Illinois River. Afterwards, catch some live music & local craft beer at Kroner & Baer. Don’t miss The Gathering Place in Tulsa, a 66-acre riverfront park which was recently named USA Today’s Best New Attraction in the country.

The Lake Escape is located at The Roadrunner Retreat on Fort Gibson Lake.
Please note we have 3 separate homes on the property we offer to guests. These are The Lake Escape, Hillside Haven and The Hideaway. Each home is private, but the dock is shared.

**You also have the option to rent out the entire place if you'd like!! Perfect for weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats. Please let us know if you will be planning a group event**

If you need to park a boat, you must reserve the single slip in advance. There are a number of options on the lake for boat rentals and just up the road is where you will be able to drop the boat into the water.

We have some firewood on the property as well as the opportunity to collect fallen branches, however we do recommend you bring your own firewood so you can have as many smores as your heart desires! We provide 1 starter log in case you forget so you can enjoy a nice fire before having to go out and collect more.

This spacious oasis is located on Fort Gibson lake just 21 miles from Talequah and Muskogee, OK.
