Winegrower & "farmer" by passion (designed in the spirit of a "micro farm", the property is home to llamas, sheep, donkeys, horses, a farmyard with swans & free-roaming rabbits!), Yves-Arnaud & his partner Cécile welcome you to authentic, carefully restored 17th century stables, adjoining the sumptuous medieval fortified castle of Salornay built in the 13th century, steeped in great history & perfectly preserved, on a 24 ha wine estate operated using "organic farming" (tastings & sales possible). In a quiet location, in the heart of the rolling Mâconnais countryside, nestled against the hillside on a vast exposed plateau overlooking the Saône valley, in the hollow of a peaceful rural hamlet. Lovely preserved rural setting in the heart of the vineyards, mixing bucolic meadows & vast forests, close to all amenities. Spacious, comfortable gîte. Warm country charm with contemporary accents. Soft sobriety in a soothing and Zen atmosphere. Beautiful living room with generous space bathed in light behind a large arched bay window (located on the site of the old carriage entrance). Intimate enclosed terrace adjoining a vast courtyard (a real "natural" pétanque court) and a pleasant wooded and grassy garden (a non-private space adjoining a covered terrace housing an old wine press). Possible access to the vast 24-hectare estate (including nearby vineyards) as well as a private fishing pond located 1 km away. Composition: Semi-detached house (with a second gîte + owners' apartment) on a property comprising several accommodations rented year-round and 5 guest rooms with a reception room (castle side). Authentic 17th century stables carefully revisited into a comfortable, contemporary-inspired gîte nestled in a quiet setting, a stone's throw from the vineyards in a peaceful rural hamlet, on a 24-hectare family wine estate operated using "organic farming" (home to many animals in the spirit of a "micro farm") housing the majestic medieval fortified castle of Salornay (a perfectly preserved building dating from the 13th century), 4 km from the charming market town of Charnay-les-Mâcon (including a supermarket 4 km away) & 6 km from Mâcon. Pleasant, preserved environment, nestled in the heart of the Mâcon countryside in the hollow of a delightful rolling countryside & wine-growing setting, a succession of vineyard hillsides, gentle meadows & vast wild forests, neighboring a vast area protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for the quality of its rich ecosystems. Ideally located in the very heart of the bucolic vineyards of the Côtes Mâconnaises, on the edge of the Haut Beaujolais (the first vineyard in the world to be recognized as a "UNESCO Global Geopark"), adjoining the nearby renowned "Val Lamartinien" (named after the famous French poet and writer who was born there), on the routes of the "Burgundy Wine Route", the Romanesque churches circuit & several marked "green walks" hiking trails (to be explored on foot or by mountain bike, connected to the nearby GR76), 4 km from the Green Way of the Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud (& its remarkable "Tunnel du Bois Clair" located 14 km away, the longest former railway tunnel in France open to a Green Way with its 1.6 km), 8 km from a marked mountain bike route (connected to the rich network of the sublime neighboring massif of northern Beaujolais), 6.5 km from the Blue Way along the Saône adjoining the cycle route EuroVélo17, 7 km from the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire à vélo) & 11 km from the renowned GTM mountain bike route labeled "VTT FFC" (Grand Tour du Massif Sud-Bourgogne linked to a vast network of identical paths crisscrossing the massif).
