Maquoketa Hurstville Interpretive Center Hotels

"Rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. Service in the restaurant was not very good or clean. Seating was limited beacuse tables were not bussed. People raved about the breakfast but it was limited, table was messy, and they didn't replenish. When an item like fruit or bread ran out, it was gone. Go early or miss out. "

"The young girl at the counter was very friendly and polite. She gave me a couple of options when if asked about cab/shuttle service. Teresa/ Connie the night manager was extremely engaging and funny as well as an excellent bartender. She was also thoughtful enough to return the watch that my wife had lost at the bar."

"The room was as I expected for a turn of the century building. Very quant room was smaller than newer hotels but that was just perfect for me. The bathroom is in suite but lack counter or storage due to the size. The bath/shower is full sized. Room did have its own ac /heat controls. They requested that I let them know when I wanted them in to clean since I was for 6 days. When I asked they did. This place is great for solo travelers as well as couples. Families should be fine in the bigger suites. It’s a great stay. "

"The hotel sits in a very pretty setting with an outdoor space overlooking a small lake. The entire place was very clean, well decorated and all the staff was very friendly. We did not eat breakfast there so I didn't rate that. The room was very nice - really liked the extra sink outside of the bathroom. Will stay there again!"

"The elevator service was below standard. For the size of this hotel. there needs to be additional elevators installed. At breakfast time and again at check-out, there were long waits with large crowds on every floor."

"The Mont Rest Inn owner and staff are the most hospitable and gracious people. The rooms and the entire house was in pristine condition. Breakfast was amazing!! The history of the Inn is tremendously interesting. Wonderful stay!! "
