"Very interesting hotel near the edge of Lake Myvatn with many wooden sculptures throughout the property. The room was large and clean. The staff was very friendly and supportive with minor requests. Dinner at the onsite restaurant was delicious. The forest ragout had complex yet complimentary flavors. The cod was delicately cooked. I loved their homemade bread."

"My family did an 8-days ring road of Iceland in early April 2026, and this place/villa was, out of all the 7 hotels, hands down best hotel we stayed. My husband who doesn't usually leave reviews asked me to post a review for this place! Everything was spotless clean, modern and well equipped. We could definitely feel the owners' thoughtful touches throughout the villa (wooden chess set, warm blanket, olive oil for cooking, artistic coffee/tea cups, Reykjavik candle company 'hotel-lobby' room scent, cookbook for reference... ) And the hot-tub!! I think I want to re-visit Iceland just to use this place's hot-tub. Everything was so perfect and lovely. Thank you for the wonderful experience."
