"The hotel probably established over 2 decades but they renovated and keep up the maintenance in good conditions. The room is clean and cozy. The onsen and the resting lounge at the top floor are comfortable. Make me relaxed and had good sleep during my stay.
One comment about the onsen is the opening time. I suggest to extend the opening hours to prevent overload visitors in the onsen. It's crowded at the night session that most of the ladies need to queue up (naked) for shower before get into the onsen.
Overall, I had a great stay at Monterey Kyoto, recommend to have a look to their "in house" chapel. I amazed with this heritage conservation."
