“This was the best place I could have chosen for my week long visit to Valparaiso! Set atop a small hill a mile south of Sotomayor Square the guest house is in a more quiet neighborhood. This area is convenient for visiting the UNESCO areas, but much more peaceful and safe for walking around. The room (I chose #3) had a view of the garden/ courtyard and was always cool and comfortable even in the hot weather. Every morning there was a delicious breakfast and the hosts were very friendly and……

“Every member of staff was excellent, so kind, helpful and efficient! We were switched to a more comfortable room at no extra cost and we absolutely loved our new room. The hotel restaurant is fantastic, eagerly accommodating my gluten free diet. We loved the pool and hot tub and chatting with other guests. We highly highly recommend Casa Higueras!!!”

The bed was comfortable and the bed linen nice We loved staying in a traditional old building which felt like an event in itself. The building is quite scruffy and could definitely do with a lick of paint and some TLC. However, on balance this wasn't too important, to us. ”

“We loved Casa Blu. The architecture, the history, the staff , both parlors and roof top lounges. We had a few bottle of wine in the late afternoon with the ocean view across. The breakfast so fresh and plentiful; and the Colina Alegre location and neighborhood. They accommodated for a very early breakfast at 3am. Thanks Rodrigo and everyone. Wish we come back again.”
