Christopher was an outstanding host, great communication and very helpful as well as cooking a great breakfast! “Absolutely great place to stay if you're in Ilfracombe. Backs onto the very pretty harbour area, really good value breakfast and the pub is friendly, great beers but not noisy at all. Our room got a little warm and the mgt instantly upgraded us to a two-room suite opposite and the general service and friendliness of the team who manage the Royal Britannia would be a major reason for going back as well as the beautiful spots immediately around the hotel. Great job and thank you Royal Britannia……

“Great location and room was perfect. Smart TV a nice touch. Contrary to what Hotel.com say, the hotel doesn't have parking so you need to park in the 24 hour car park a street away. Check in was confusing as you had to go to a different hotel across the road but it was fine. You also have to go there for breakfast.”

“Nice apartment, ideal positioning, Illfracombe is very steep, but lovely walks to be had. Car parking is free after 6pm in the town also. We didn’t use the facilities but pool looked a decent size. Cushions on the bed were very hard. Could maybe do with a couple of soft ones in the wardrobe as a just incase. Lovely place overall. ”

“Lovely stay here. Very helpful friendly lady met us on arrival and explained where the games room was which was fab offering table tennis, pool and darts, we were then shown to our room. It’s a dog friendly place. Although we didn’t have a dog it was fun to see them. The apartment was clean and comfortable and great hot water for the shower. The communal garden was large overlooking fields and you can just see the sea which was a nice surprise. Ilfracombe is close by and a lovely little……
