"It appears the hotel is or was doing renovations or updates. But from what we saw that was updated was done poorly. The thing that was unacceptable to us was the breakfast and the breakfast area. The area was dirty. Food crumbs on the counter where the food was and all over the tables. Syrup on the counter and floor. No food being replenished either. For the price and what we needed it for (1 night) it was fine but not a hotel we would stay multiple nights at."

"I was expecting a much nicer hotel from the pictures they have online. It’s kind of outdated and run down. It wasn’t very clean when we stayed as far as needing a vacuum ran in the halls. Had to hunt ice down…we were on 7th floor and finally found an ice machine on 4th floor. No refrigerator in room. I booked a queen bed room and was given a room with 2 small double beds…we were there for our anniversary so we had to squeeze into one small bed which sucked. The only thing I liked about this place was the beautiful view of the state capital. "

"Great stay, they've done a lot to update the rooms. They were fairly quiet except the plumbing is such that you can hear when people above are using the bathroom. "

"The pool was warm, the beds and linens were very comfortable, and the rooms were very big. Staff was super friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations on restaurants and helping us find our way around. Only drawbacks were the shampoo and conditioner bottles were both empty (did not contact someone to fix as i was already in the shower) and the breakfast left something to be desired. Both mornings they were constantly out of food, and the only fruit they had were apples that were all wrinkly and mushy, probably because the room with the food was at least 80 degrees. We travel frequently, even more now since my oldest will be out of state for college, and have been trying to find the perfect hotel chain."

"Rooms were clean, old and could use a refresh but didn’t affect my stay. The breakfast was good fresh eggs and sausage both days. The only drawback was you could hear every noise coming from the hallway"
