Had a great couple of days away from home, was really nice to sit out on the deck and enjoy the country landscape! A short drive to Port Fairy or Warrnambool, and it was dog friendly!

High View was in a perfect location for our trip. Clean,comfortable accommodation, plus our dog loved it. Our hosts were very friendly but non intrusive, nothing was too much trouble. No negatives.

Quiet time

We went for a rest and found the tranquil country setting ideal. For horsey people there is lots to enjoy, including the option to bring your own horse and/or dog but for us it was an opportunity to catch up on reading and some study.

Definately one of the best around Warrnambool area. The host, Sonja, was very helpful and friendly. We all enjoyed our stay and felt extremely welcomed. The property is located on a small hill and the view is amazing! Highly recommended!

A Relaxing Stay

We loved our time at High View Cottages. It was our third stay and we can’t wait to return. The cottage is beautifully furnished, incredibly comfortable and the views are amazing. We received a warm welcome from the owner’s dogs and our dog had a great time in our very own yard.

Comfort With Breathtaking Views

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and wished it was much longer. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in, and waking up to the amazing views over the property towards the ocean was magical. Being allowed to take along our dog was awesome. He loved the long walks around the property. We were close to the city and all attractions, not that you have to leave the property all that often. It was fun relaxing at the cottage and enjoying the views and all the amenities it had to offer. Sonja and her husband were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Even their dog Charlie spent a lot of time at our cottage and came on walks with us. It was spectacular value for money and had everything we could have ever asked for. We will be returning that's for sure. Thanks so much.

Over all very good for the price plenty of room, comfy beds and good kitchen dining. I was a bit disappointed with the view please be aware that if you book the lodge and not the cottages you will not get the advertised views, I would definitly stay again but in the Cottages.

Pour une nuit SI mal pris

Bon par où commencer. Au premier coup d’oeil c’est pas extra mais semble ok mais après oufffff, je m’explique mal la cote de 4,5. Peut-être que les cottages avec vu sur l’ocean étaient mieux. Très très sale. Dans l’entrée il y avait tellement d’escargots et leurs excréments et à l’intérieur excréments de souris sur la hote de poêle. De nombreuses araignées et autres sortes d’insectes. Nous n’avons pas quitté et je me demande encore pourquoi. Très vieux mobilier en tissus et sale. Tapis douteux. C’est en pleine campagne donc plein de trucs étranges dans les mousquetaires qui sont aussi très sales. La douche est une moitié de douche. Les propriétaires semble très gentil. Bien situé si vous avez une voiture. Besoin de literies important à savoir. On entend très bien les voisins et l’odeur de leur repas vient facilement de notre côté.

Stunning place in the perfect location

Would highly recommend this place, cottage setting with vista views over river and ocean, cannot beat the sunset, warmth and hospitality of Sonja and Steve. We will definitely be coming back!!!

Annual Pt Fairy Jazz Festival

We drove up and down Illowa road a number of times before we found High View. Wasn't easy to identify. Other than that we loved the venue.
