"This is a wonderful hotel. It is spacious, with high ceilings, wide corridors, spacious rooms … and it has a welcoming vibe. The rooms are well designed for storage of luggage and they are tastefully furnished. The location of the hotel is also excellent … in the city centre, and with restaurants just outside the door, in the beautiful square the hotel opens out onto. Excellent in every way!"

"My single room was very hot. No air conditioning. I had to leave my window open to only awaken to 7 wasps. I couldn’t use my toilet because four of them were swarming around in there. I am very allergic to insect bites. The hotel manager reacted quickly and moved me to another room with air conditioning and no wasp problem. Clearly an upgraded single room but I lucky not to be stung by any of the wasps. Location is convenient and easy to get to with luggage from the train station."

"We liked how close hotel was to grocery store, just a walk a few minutes. Close to coffee shops. This hotel affordable, but nothing fancy .Clean rooms.Friendly staff. Room had AC which is a great plus for Europe."

"Room was super clean. Staff was very helpful at check in and accommodated this English speaker. Room makeup for second day was fine. Euro breakfast has a lot of variety, all items fresh. Good coffee too and this lactose intolerant guest liked the lactose free creamer. Location is excellent, maybe the equivalent of three city blocks to the main square. It is a nice stroll on a clean street lined with great shops including a breakfast cafe if you want to try a breakfast elsewhere. Trier is a very walkable city full of across the spectrum great dining, cool shops, and lots of kind people. When I go back, I’ll stay at the Aulmann."

"Perfect location and good hotel. We had a fantastic view of the Porta Nigra. The gentlemen at night and in the morning who worked at the front desk were amazingly friendly and helpful, the older lady with glasses not at all friendly."

"My room was compact, but for a single traveller it was ideal. The room was modern and comfortable. Staff were always on hand and we're friendly without exception. The breakfast was very good, and the position of the dining room overlooking the river and Triel's Roman bridge made it special"
