Comfy Home in the Adirondacks, close to Gore Mnt, hiking & snowmoble trails

The home has an open floor plan with a full working kitchen, large dining area and comfortable living room with wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dinnerware.
There are 2 full bathrooms, one with a full-tub/shower and the other with a shower.
Bedroom 1, the master bedroom, has a queen size bed, and bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has a queen and a twin size bed. Both bedrooms are spacious and have closets.
The loft area has 3 twin beds.
There is also a mud room with washer and dryer.
Home has phone, internet and DISH TV
Linens are provided but please bring your own beach towels for outdoor use.
Our home is located on a private road minutes from the center of town with private
access to the Cedar River and on-site nature trail. In the warmer months, perfect for an easy walk from your door to the soothing sounds of the cascading river water. In the Winter, right on the Indian Lake snowmobile trail with easy access to Blue Mountain Lake, Speculator, Long Lake and the Moose River Plains trail system. Skiing at Gore Mountain is only 20 minutes away. Indian Lake also has its own ski hill and ice skating rink to enjoy.
Spring season begins with whitewater rafting down the Hudson River, launching right
from Indian Lake. The area offers endless outdoor fun but also is centrally located for exploring all the area has to offer – museums, movie theater, shopping, restaurants, water parks, golf, leaf-peeping and scenic drives in the fall...
The town of Indian Lake offers a full calendar of activities and events for all seasons. Please check out the Indian Lake website to see what the town has planned for the year.

This is a lovely home with easy access to the beauty of the Adirondacks. The owner is a wonderful person who made our stay just perfect. Easy to check in and all the ammenities you could ever need.

Beautiful cabin. Amazing access to Cedar River through nature trail. Convenient to whitewater rafting and hikes. Close to small town of Indian Lake.Had everything we needed. Communication was terrific. Would recommend to anyone.

Awesome Weekend Stay.

Great location, quiet, clean. Short walk to Cedar River on a maintained trail leads to mowed area next to the river which is a great spot to hang out. Would definitely stay again.

Weekend getaway in the mountains.

This was our 4th time staying here hope to continue the tradition next year. It is the perfect balance of seclusion but also in close proximity to all the ADK park has to offer. The host is responsive, the cabin is warm, inviting, cozy and really makes you feel like you are alone in the woods!

Cozy Cabin

We had a very enjoyable stay and it was the perfect place for our family to visit and enjoy the days before Christmas together. We were able to enjoy a cozy fire, the water pressure was amazing, the open floor plan was very nice! We all slept very well in comfy beds with soft sheets! We would definitely come back to this cabin again!!

Perfect family getaway

We had a such a nice time in the Adirondacks. The house was perfect, clean, and comfortable. We were close to everything we wanted to do and had everything we needed to make a fun stay for the kids. Steve and Jean were responsive, wonderful hosts!

We only stayed for 2 nights. The owners were great about changing the dates around. The property was clean. Thankfully we went in the summer so going down the gravel private road wasn't an issue. I had missed the note about turning on the hot water heater, but figured it out after a cold shower. I also assumed there would be soap and shampoo, but there was only 1 bottle of 3-in-1.

Beautiful cabin with so much to do in the area!

Me and my family had so much fun staying at your rental. The house was beautiful and really enjoyed taking advantage of all of the activities in the area. We took advantage of the trail down the road and the beautiful scenic area set up. We would love to stay again in the future.

AOK in EVERY Way!

Property was beautiful, pics do not do it justice. Everything you could need was supplied, and plentiful. The area is absolutely beautiful and to top it all off we were visited by several deer every day.Do not hesitate to stay here, you will not regret it.

An amazing time!

Weekend winter getaway.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was the perfect location and central to many Adirondack lakes, towns and villages. We would definitely recommend for an Adirondack stay. Steve was also very helpful and is a an A plus host. Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin!

Relaxing

Loved everything about this home. Related by the fire with a nice glass of wine. Cooked a nice prime rib dinner and played some games. Saw a lot of deer walking around the yard. Thank you so much for letting stay in your home, we're looking forward to another trip to your beautiful home.

Indian Lake hiking trip

Great location, provided us access to numerous ADK hiking trails. Located on a nice secluded lot, easy access into the house. Fully furnished with everything you might need, plenty of natural light, spacious living areas. Really appreciated their attention to detail, especially the ‘welcome to our house’ bottle of wine. Definitely two thumbs up!!.

Ahh yes!

We moved to the south years ago. There is nothing more amazing than coming back to our roots, and the mountains. We could’ve stayed at this beautiful home forever. Many thanks to our hosts for sharing your hospitality and home, and FYI, the pictures on vrbo website do not do this home justice!

Great Winter stay!

My husband, 2 teens and dog had a great stay at Stephen’s home! We skied Gore mountain, which is short and easy drive from the house (20 minutes). We also enjoyed cross country skiing at Garnett Hill (also a short drive). The house was very cozy, clean and well stocked! We were especially thankful for the wood for the fireplace as the temps were in the teens and we woke up daily to snow! The kids enjoyed hanging in the loft area although my daughter loved sleeping in the “log cabin” room. We would love to visit again in the summer to enjoy the nearby lakes and hiking trails. Thank you for a very relaxing weekend and sharing your home!

Comfy and cozy

This was the perfect little getaway location. The home was clean and so very quiet, just what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. There are a decent number of places to find food close by should you not want to cook and the home has everything you'd need if you decided you did want to cook. The hosts are great communicators! :)

Short but very nice and relaxing stay

We came for the “parents weekend” at the Long Lake camp for performance arts, so frankly, didn’t spend that much time at the house itself, but definitely would love to come back just for few days to relax and unwind. It’s a rustic house next to the wood, very charming and peaceful, perfect escape into nature. The owner was exceptionally accommodating, responding to our questions within minutes. All the amenities/ bedding- all in great condition (you have to read carefully the instructions on how to turn on the hot water, lol). The bottle of wine was a very nice touch ;)

Ski weekend take three.

This was our third stay at the cabin! Really, there is not even a conversation about staying any place else! It has all one would need. We came up for another ski day at Gore. Lucked out with weather again with a storm that dropped over a foot of snow. The cabin was warm, welcoming, comfortable and is stocked with anything you maybe need. It’s a perfect place to forget the world for a few days and immerse yourself in the woods, clean air and nature. It’s truly is a peaceful place. Thank you for having us!

Winter weekend getaway

Wonderful property, well situated close to Gore Mountain for skiing and many hiking / snowshoeing trails. We had a fantastic long weekend with our three kids and their teenaged cousin, just be aware that the ladder leading to the loft sleeping area is a little steep. The house is well maintained, well lit, very clean and comfortable for a family getaway (I always appreciate a host who has hand soap and thoughtful hooks in the bathroom for many towels!) The kids loved all the games and puzzles provided, and there’s lots of firewood available for the fireplace. Beds are comfortable, local restaurants are solid, and the host, Steve, is lovely to chat with and easy to reach. Highly recommend!

Adirondack Getaway

All the ingredients you need for a perfect vacation getaway can be found in this wonderful home! It is spotless inside and is fully stocked with everything you need. The fire pit is awesome and the gas grill was used throughout our stay. There are many personal touches that make this home feel comfortable and cozy. This getaway is located near a small river as well as many lakes to fish or kayak in. There are also many places to hike and they are listed in the welcome book that greets you when you arrive. Steve and Jean were very quick to answer any questions I had. We just loved this great home and would not hesitate to stay there again!

Ski Weekend

Property was as advertised. Spacious and very clean. Easy access off the main road. Beds on first floor were comfortable (didn’t use the loft so not sure about those beds ). Fireplace was functioning well with lots of accessible wood in the garage. Owner was easily reachable. 20 minute drive to Gore Mountain for skiing which we did on 3 days. Very short drive (under 5 minutes ) into town where we ate two nights at the Indian Lake restaurant (decent food and reasonable price with a full sized bar attached that has some unique history behind it). Also ordered from the local pizzeria (Puterko’s) which had very good pizza (but the hours they are open are short so if you want pizza check the hours in advance ). Would definitely stay again.
