"The amenities were fantastic. The kids loved the pool house, which included a pool table, foosball, and ping-pong tables. The gym and laundry facilities were also nice. The room was clean and seemed recently renovated, but there was an odd smell, that we couldn't get rid of. The receptionist gave us an odor eliminator but it didn't help. The drawers in the bedroom were also visible broken and fallen in. Unfortunately, the hotel was full and they couldn't switch our room. The rooms were huge. It was nice to have a separate bedroom. In the living room there was a full fridge and stove, which was nice, but they aren't built with appropriate ventilation so if anyone is cooking/baking the smell quickly diffuses to the hallways to share with all the other guests. We opted to eat out. Most important to consider- we were on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator, so we needed to carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. With kids this required multiple trips. We were fine, but this is a serious limitation if you aren't able bodied or have full-sized/heavy suitcases. The limitation should be appropriately advertised when booking."

"This was just what we expected and more -- a budget-friendly option that was welcoming and clean. There was always someone at the front desk and every one of them was welcoming, friendly, helpful, and kind. (They even put up with my seemingly endless questions about recycling procedures in Maine.) They recommended Birdsacre across the street as a destination and several places to eat. The breakfast was limited to basically cereal and hot drinks, but there was ALWAYS coffee available. Definitely would stay there again."

"This place was only about a half hour or so from Acadia National Park which was perfect for us. It was a large space for our family of 5. It was clean and organized and had more than 1 bathroom which was necessary. The sitting area easily accommodated all of us as well as the kitchen. It wasn’t far from many places in Ellsworth either. We were able to spend time in Acadia National Park but still have a large enough area for the whole family to relax when we got back. I really appreciated the listing of local places to try or visit. FYI we loved Schoodic Point and Cadillac Mountain especially. Would definitely recommend this place especially with family."

"Great time in Ellsworth. We've stayed in many, many Verbos across the country. This apartment was by far one of our top stays. Such a great experience staying right in downtown Ellsworth.Such a clean and nicely decorated apartment. It was so nice being able to coming back to a place like this after a day of hiking in Acadia.Downtown had a good variety of places to eat. I had worried a little about parking when we reserved, but it was so convenient. We parked across Main in the City Hall parking lot. Easy walk to the apartment. Parked right in front on the street a couple of times when unloading and loading luggage. Linda and Hans were the perfect hosts. Great communication and always got back with us quickly with answers to questions we had. We loved this apartment and we'll for sure be looking to stay here again. We're missing it already. Thanks Linda & Hans!"
