I like that it looked fresh. Unfortunately, it was just cosmetic. When booking room, requested 2 queen beds. When arrived they stated they don’t have queen only king or double beds. Luckily my sister in law had an extra bed in her room because we are 3 grown people sharing 2 double beds. We come yearly to this area, we would only book this hotel if absolutely nothing else was available.

Property under construction, room AC did not work, ceilings on 1st floor were leaking as it rained. Pool was "open" but water was probably not safe to swim in.

The room was clean, however the air conditioning wasn't working so we had to change rooms. No hot breakfast except waffles which when I tried to eat one found out the batter was rancid. Staff really didn't care when I mentioned the problems. The first three floors are not even finished, pool was done but couldn't use due to permit issues. To make matters worse, this hotel is not in a great area, I didn't feel safe at all. Ended up cancelling the rest of my two week stay after one night and chose a different hotel.

It took three days for the hotel staff to clean our room and change linens. There were random charges that the hotel refunded throughout the trip that were not related to the $100 incidental hold. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best and more often than not did not work.

The website promoted the pool and gym. There was no note anywhere on either site, on the checkout page, or even the email confirmations about the pool and gym being closed for renovations. This was disappointing but only became worse when we arrived and saw that the property is incredibly run down and not in full operation. The site also mentions a hair dryer which was also not provided. When I asked for one at the desk I was told that these were “on order.” The reception staff did not tell me anything about when breakfast would be served, point out the WiFi password, give the check out time, or generally give much information at all. The gentleman at the desk also went out of his way to avoid speaking with me even though I approached the desk, the room was under my name, and I paid for it. He instead continue to make every effort to speak to my partner instead. This hotel is dishonest in how they represent the building in photographs and is very far below the usual standard for this chain of hotels.

The property is under renovation, so we assume everything will be in good shape when they are done. The exterior looks terrible, but the lobby is very nice since it has been done. We stayed on the sixth floor and were told by the staff that renovations were still happening on that floor. So guests with the sixth floor rooms had to walk on carpet padding to get to and from the rooms. Probably not ideal for the padding. Also, in the early morning hours, our smoke/CO2 detector started chirping. We just tried to sleep through it. Overall, an OK experience and it should be better when renovations are complete.
