Wonderful Coachhouse stay
We loved our stay at the Coachhouse. Daniel was there to meet us at check in and responded quickly to messages. It is off the beaten path. Make sure you bring food and drink with you if you haven't rented a car. We enjoyed our time relaxing and playing cards after a long day of exploring. It was clean and plenty of room for 8 adults. Would stay there again.

Magical spot
Our stay at the Coach House was magical as our final stop on our trip to Ireland. Daniel is a wonderful and gracious host and helped us find fun places to visit while there. The property is situated in view of the picturesque town and close enough to drive to get everything we needed (groceries, etc). The property and home are so beautiful and we easily could have accommodated more family members and friends. We plan to return again someday and hopefully rent the Mill House as well!

Magical location
This property is so unique and beautiful. Jack and Daniel are wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was the perfect spot in the gorgeous Irish countryside, yet close enough to various destinations. Inistioge is picture perfect. Each space in the house is thoughtfully and beautifully arranged. We can’t wait to come back and bring more of our extended family!

Inistioge Expérience
We enjoyed staying at the Coachhouse. There is a nice floor plan, large deck and table. The beds were comfortable, the young ones enjoyed the grounds, and there were close side trips to Thomastown, Kilkenny, Jerpoint Abbey and Kell’s Priory.

Most amazing stay! Immaculate home with so much character!
What a beautiful home! We were traveling across Ireland and only got to stay 2 nights, but I wish we could have stayed longer here. This was our favorite home of the whole trip by far! Very clean and immaculate home with so much character. Dan was such a gentleman and pleasure! Thank you for such a lovely stay and hope to be back!

Beautiful and peaceful
The house was very spacious and well equipped with everything you could possibly want, including kitchen condiments and toiletries. Comfortable beds. It was perfect for our needs including the bbq which we used several times. Only downside is that it was further from the village than we though definitely an Irish country mile and wasn’t walkable with 2 young children. Inistigoe is beautiful but good options are limited especially mid week and then only pub grub. The weather was perfect so we had a great stay.

Grandson's First Ireland Trip
I brought my three Grandsons on their first trip to Ireland, along with my Daughter, Son-in-law, and Son. We had an absolutely Grand Time and the accommodations were just what we needed. And the Owner, Daniel was great and very responsive.

Perfect House
The Coach House was my families favorite house on our Ireland trip. Dan was a perfect host and we loved being in a less touristy area, getting a more traditional Irish experience. The town has three pubs, our favorite was the Otter Bar. Alan and Catherine welcomed us into their town and made us feel Irish for a few days. We will be back to this hidden gem!

Coach House visit
We had a wonderful time here. This is our 3 rd stay at the coach house. It’s like coming home for us. Danial makes you feel welcome. The house itself has all you need for your stay. We cooked many nights big Irish dinners and enjoyed tea in the BIG teapot. One we tried to find while visiting with no luck. There are many special touches, such as heated mattress pads on the beds. Plenty of fresh firewood for the stove up in the great room. We all felt so comfortable and at home here. It’s so nice that Dan and Jack have kept old world charm here and have not gone automated with everything. I can’t wait to come back again. Even Better than the pictures
Daniel met us at the door, answered all our questions and showed us what we needed to feel perfectly comfortable. This property is rural, maybe 15 min to town. It is exquisite, exceptionally clean, well furnished and with all the appliances you’ll need. Our 4 generation family fit the space nicely. It is one of the nicest VRBO homes we have had the pleasure to visit.

Wonderful house for our group
This was a wonderful house for our group: two families of five traveling together - the adults slept upstairs and the teenagers had the two downstairs bedrooms. There was more than enough space for everyone, and the location was absolutely beautiful! We had a bit of trouble finding it at first, but once we found the town and followed the directions we were good! We only spent two nights here, but we loved the town of Inistioge (and the white horse by the river!) Easy drive to Kilkenny for the afternoon, and well-stocked kitchen for making Irish breakfasts for the crew!

Idyllic! Doesn’t get any better in Ireland!
Our family stayed for 18 days at Jack and Daniel’s property, with friends and family coming and going. The hosts were so kind, generous with their knowledge and assistance, as well as making sure our needs were consistently met. The modernized old millhouse is a haven in the gorgeous countryside, a gorgeous renovation within walking distance to both Inistioge and Thomastown. The beds were comfortable, the rooms full of charm and character, the kitchen well stocked, and the outdoor environs peaceful and idyllic. We fell in love with the community, from the hosts to the pub life, all made our stay unforgettable! The highest compliment we can give a VRBO listing is to say we would return. WE WOULD BE THRILLED TO RETURN!

Absolutely WONDERFUL!!!
This was our last accommodation before traveling home. The secluded location was so peaceful and countryside is more than breathtaking! So much space for a family to spread out and lots of extras like the courtyard and grass area for the kids to swing and play! Dan and Jack were absolutely great hosts! Wish we could have stayed more nights here! Would most definitely recommend!!!

Perfect place for a family break
We had the best time. Perfect place for a family gathering. A few mins drive to inistoge which has a couple of bars and cafes and lovely picnic spot by the river, also woodstock gardens only a few mins away. 10 mins from Thomastown which is lovely town with plenty to do and see. The accommodation was just perfect. The house had everything we needed, so clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all meals for our large family. Bedrooms were so clean and comfortable, they were nice and cool even though it was hot out. The back garden was perfect for the kids to play in and so safe. We will definitely be staying here again.

Family Vacation
The property was wonderful and the country views are beautiful. We love the history of the property and the area. We rented a car which was necessary because of the day trips we took to the Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle and Kilkinney. The Northern Ireland tour out of Dublin to the Giants Causeway is definitely worth your time - don't miss it!

Clean and comfortable in a lovely historic setting!
We visited for a family wedding and were so happy with this property! The home was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Plenty of room for our large group, beds were comfortable and we loved cooking breakfast in the large kitchen. Upstairs family room where we played games, watched movies and relaxed. Taking back home great memories of Ireland, and staying in this lovely countryside home is one of our favorites!

Stunning and authentic
This was the most beautiful rental we’ve ever had. It was true Irish countryside living in a modern but traditional home. Felt so comfortable and welcomed. The accommodations were perfect. The host thought of everything to make our stay memorable. We will never forget this house and now everywhere we stay going forward will never measure up to this place. Loved it so much. Beautiful, spacious property in scenic local
This property is beautifully renovated and in a quiet, peaceful setting. We had plenty of space, it feels even bigger than the pictures show. Location was great for exploring the surrounding areas. We were able to drive to Kilkenny in about 25 minutes and it was just a few minutes in to Inistioge and Thomastown. The only minor issue was spotty WiFi. We would definitely stay there again.

We are continually trying to improve our internet service and unfortunately we are in a very rural area and the current provider is the best available. I know for guests used to super fast broadband it may seem slow but it is still fast enough to stream movies and for gaming but not multiple devices at the same time. Eoin

great accommodations with one caveat
My family of seven stayed at this home home for two days and were very pleased with the accommodations the home provided. However, we arrived without personal transportation and discovered that the trip to Thomastown and Kilkenny is quite distant. The town of Innistioge is about 1.2 km from the house. But, it is straight uphill on the return trip and does not offer much in the way of stores or things to do. Because it was so out of the way, this necessitated always trying to secure a van to the town for all of us, or two taxis. Given the paucity of taxis this far out, it was often difficult to secure transportation without a great deal of pre-planning. Plus, the cost for each each one way trip was well over 40 Euros. With as many trips we made, the transportation costs were quite steep. The home is beautiful and well maintained. But, it is situated in a remote area and walking to anywhere with the narrow and busy road was out of the question. My recommendation is that this property be rented only if you have personal transportation to get to stores, pubs, sites and the heart of Killkenny. Otherwise, you will feel stranded. Eion, the manager was was very friendly and helpful throughout the visit. The wifi capabilities were severely limited. As can be expected, this caused no end of consternation with the young folk who live by their smart phones. However, this was a minor issue given the many pluses this home offers to anyone with a large group. The house is spacious, well equipped and offers plenty of room for everyone. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great place that can easily accommodate a family or group of golfers and who have the transportation to come and go as they please. Thanks to Eion for helping to make our visit very enjoyable.

Great

Beautiful, Peaceful Location
If you are looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cities, Inistioge is the perfect place to walk and explore. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy on the morning walks to town and beautiful vistas of the river. The Woodstock Gardens are definitely worth a visit. If we had more time, we would have tried the river fishing.

Family holday.

Wonderful experience....Beautiful home....Loved it!
The coachhouse was simply wonderful. The house was even better than the pictures depict. The kitchen was very well appointed. The family room and bedrooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed the grounds and the surrounding community. Believe it or not, the only thing I could find "wrong in any way" was that the guitar was missing the low E string! We only wish we could have stayed longer. Loved, loved, loved it.

Beautiful and peaceful!
We reserved the property for our family of 10 including adult children and 3 grandchildren. Although our stay was brief it is a lovely property and complete with all the necessities. It is in the country - the drive to the house has you wondering where in the world you will be at the end of the very narrow roads you encounter the last couple miles before you arrive but the destination is worth the drive! Also, we highly recommend stopping for dinner or bringing supplies before you arrive. The closest town (Thomastown) has limited restaurant options. Bassett's had no availability for a table but graciously offered "take away" pizza and salad! Both we delicous and top quality! The children loved the grounds for playing and the setting is very peaceful. Only one of the other two buildings were occupied during our stay. Highly recommend as an option with close accessibility to Kilkenny! Be sure the ask Eoin for instructions for wifi!

Outstanding!
Soon as we walked in, everybody asked if we could stay here forever! That's a statement! We had 4 adults and five kids from 3yrs to 11yrs and there couldn't have been a better place to turn them loose to play. Plus, the living room on the second floor was the perfect indoor play area to keep them busy. It's in a pretty remote area, but honestly, if you're looking for a true getaway from it all, and you love peace and quiet, you'll love it here. Inistioge is only 2 miles away (small but awesome), Thomastown is about 10 miles away for groceries and Kilkenny is about 20 miles for a busy day trip. We couldn't have picked a better vacation spot. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars is because of the remoteness (which we loved!). We're from the Detroit area of Michigan.

Beutiful farmhouse in the Irish countryside
I recently rented this lovely farmhouse with my family of 5 and another family of 5. Owen was a pleasure to work with and was there to greet us and give us a tour of the house and grounds. There were bikes, go-carts and a basketball court for the kids to enjoy and plenty of rooms to accommodate our families. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a place to stay outside of a big city.

Loved it!
We loved staying at the Coachhouse. It was very nice and cozy. The sitting room upstairs was a great place to gather at the end of the day around the wood stove. The property had a beautiful location and there was plenty of room for the 10 of us. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved taking walks down the country lane. It was so peaceful and we really felt like we got a taste of Ireland. Thank you.

Coach house on the river Nore a beautiful setting
The coach house property near Kilkenny was amazing. The grounds with two other old houses and fantastic gardens were fun to explore. Only 15/20 minutes to Kilkenny a lovely peaceful place to stay. Eion, our host, was a wealth of knowledge about area restaurants. Truely the place was so beautiful and comfortable we stayed in one day just to enjoy it!

Our family stay at The CoachHouse was terrific. The house was perfect for our family of seven. We stayed there our first two nights of our ten night trip throughout Ireland and it was the perfect start to our trip. A beautiful home that gave us a great feel for Irish hospitality. The rooms were exactly how they are pictured. The beds were comfy and the baths and linens were top quality. We didn't have much time to use the kitchen other than breakfast and the house had everything we needed. The loaf of Irish breakfast bread was so delicious and much appreciated. It was great to meet Owen when we arrived after communications via email from the states. Overall we were very satisfied and would definitely recommend The Coach House.
