Gelso nero

Gelso nero ( garden view) disposes of 1 double bedroom, 1 bath, a fully equipped kitchen, dinner/ living room with a sofa bed for two people. A private garden. It hasn't a view of the sea.
The property is situated Via Sant'Alessandro, a small pedestrian street going up behind the left river close to the arrivals of ferries and hydrofoils (10 minutes by foot).
Ischia Porto is easily reached from Naples by boat, leaving very frequently from the harbour in central Naples "Molo Beverello". The trip takes 50 minutes.
The apartment is situated in a 15.000 square meter private coast property "Villa dei fiori sul mare". It is a beautiful and well kept park with exotic and regional plants and flowers and which has beautiful lanes which goes through the garden to the various separated apartments and down towards the exclusive private sea access.
The property can truly be considered a private oasis but yet very close to the center of Ischia Porto and from where any part of Ischia is easily reached. In 10 minutes by foot you find restaurants, shops, grocery shops, rentings of cars, scooters, bikes, and the main bus and taxi station.
The private access to the sea is equipped with sunbeds, chairs . There are several platforms going down towards the sea, with reserved private spaces for each apartment (Gelso Nero - Ciliegio-Bouganville) , but it's not a beach.
The other longer sand beaches are situated 15 minutes on foot from the house (next to the main shopping street Via Roma) and
the small beach "Spiaggia degli Inglesi" is situated about 400m from the house.
The price includes bedlinen and towels for the bathroom, but we ask our guests to kindly bring towels or pareos for the sea.

Summer in Ischia

We were able to have a relaxing holiday in this beautiful property. The owners were incredibly helpful and attentive during the whole booking process. We didn’t need help during our stay but felt it would have been available should we have needed it. The position of the house is private and calm away from the busy, fun town activities. A really lovely place for a holiday. Thank you.

A due passi dal porto

Tutto è andato bene, dalla comunicazione con la proprietaria al check out. Il nostro appartamento, il gelso nero, era pulito e confortevole. Wifi e climatizzazione ottimi. La proprietà si trova in salita su una strada pedonale, giusto se avete bagagli pesanti potrebbe essere stancante all'arrivo. Ma poi dopo nessun problema visto che in 10 minuti a piedi si arriva al centro di Ischia Porto. Consigliato sia a coppie che a gruppi di amici.

Lovely nice buildings in the middle of a large garden. The little beach is very beautiful and nice for snorkelling. Smooth communication and very friendly welcome directly at the harbour.

The location is superb, overlooking 2 sides of the peninsula. A jewel. Marc & Oksana welcomed us.

We made special arrangements for a catered dinner, and it was abundant and fabulous. It was delivered to us by the two women who I imagine have served others throughout their life and enjoy sharing with others. It was nice to support the very local community. The 1 bedroom villa was equipped well with implements with which to cook breakfast and other meals. Marc had pointed out the grocery at the first nearest corner. Oksana was nearby if we should need assistance. The owner of the property went out of her way to be hospitable to make up for our first day of really horrible weather. We recommend renting a car to see the thermal baths on the island instead of very expensive taxi. You can walk 30 minutes to Argonese castle. The access to the beach was very very special. The owners are really blessed to have such a Property. The only thing I missed, which is often the case, in traveling, I love bath tubs, but I believe all the villas have showers only. We really hope to return to this very unique property, we were treated with a very special concern by the owners who are willing to share their wonderful family heritage, and this island of Ischia.

Fantastic place

We, a family of four, spent the week before easter at this place. It’s on a large property of a local family, our apartment was in the separate guest house. The place overall is simply amazing, you are right next to the harbour of Ischia Porto but it’s still very quiet. There are large communal garden areas with beach access and views over to Vesuv, and a very well behaved dog that our kids loved. The apartment itself is very well kept. Response from the owners was immediate.

mi è piaciuta questa villa l'appartamento è ben fornito di tutto il necessario per sentirsi a casa. la cucina, la camera da letto, il bagno e la zona giorno sono molto confortevoli. la proprietà è bellissima, vista panoramica sul mare e sulla natura circostante. la famiglia ospitante è gentile e il loro figlio mi è di grande aiuto perché non parlo italiano. Mi piacerebbe tornare qui di nuovo un giorno e raccomandare questa villa ad altri che visitano la bellissima isola.

Nice flat in a beautiful garden, close to the centre of Ischia!

We stayed two weeks and enjoyed our holidays a lot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The flat is clean and comfortable. You have just a few minutes walk to Ischia centre with little shops and many restaurants. Nearby there is a bigger beach with nice sand. I would recomment it!!

Entre viento y mar un paraíso

Tuvimos unos días maravillosos en este apartamento con vista al mar y rodeado de hermosos jardines. La temperatura del agua estaba aun caliente así que pudimos aprovechar el acceso al mar todos los días. Lo único que hay que tener en cuenta es que hay 3 apartamentos y solo uno de ellos tiene esa terraza maravillosa sobre el mar. Los otros son mas pequeñas, mas lejos y sin vista al mar y las fotos son de toda la propiedad y muchas fotos son del apartamento mas bello. Es importante aclarar cual propiedad les dan para evitar malentendidos luego. La propietaria manejó muy amablemente todo.

Accès à la mer par un rocher, dans une résidence pleine de verdure, près du port en suivant une petite rue en pente, c'est magnifique. La propriétaire parle très bien français mais au téléphone. Sur place, italien seulement. Pas simple, par exemple avec l'eau chaude indisponible malgré intervention du personnel italien. A noter que l'appartement loué ne correspond pas aux photographies du site Abritel, plus éloigné de la côte. La terrasse était agréable mais pleine de moustiques (pas de moustiquaire), la machine à laver n'essorait pas convenablement. De bonnes vacances tout de même grâce au lieu et à la gentillesse des italiens mais prix élevé pour la prestation.

Direct access to the sea from a lovely property

The villa we rented is part of a lovely private property with a beautiful garden only a short walk away from the main port in Ischia. The home is modern and well-equipped, perfect for a family of four. The villa does not have parking but the owners helped us find cheap guarded parking nearby. The main attractions of the villa are that it is in a very quiet and secluded spot in spite of the short distance from the city centre, and the private descent to the sea. Even in the busiest days of August we were able to enjoy the sunshine and lovely sea without hassle. Definitely recommended!
