“My third time staying here. I come to Uganda for a charity - so on a budget. Also staying by myself. I travel out each week day to work and spend evenings and weekends here. I like the Wagga because of the large garden it. You have a feeling of space. It feels safe. It is quiet at night. The WiFi isn't brilliant but OK. The staff take good care of me. But there can be very noisy weddings at weekends. The restaurant is limited and the coffee lousy. There are no leisure facilities like a pool or……

“At check-in, there was no salutation. I was never asked for ID or who I was. They led me straight to my room. This raises serious security concerns. The pipework under the sink was non-existent. So I had to deploy a bucket to collect waste water and avoid spillage in the room. Unlike any other hotels I have stayed in Uganda, there were no bedside tables, no bedside table lamps, no coffee kettle. There was very little natural light in the room. “Warning - I would like to issue if you wish to book this hotel, which is located at the top of a shopping mall with a nightclub floor below. This means loud music and drunken guests every night 365 days a year until 4am in the morning - making it impossible to fall asleep before the nightclub closes. The hotel has modern rooms. Angela in the hotel reception was professional and services minded. The breakfast could be better, but was ok. If you are a party animal this is the hotel for you. If……

“A surprisingly well equipped and well conceived property in the south-western region of Uganda. It's very quiet, very well-designed and my wife says it is of European quality - which is a compliment! We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was very spacious. The facilities including gym are way better than in most Ugandan properties. It is a little overpriced and the food is unremarkable BUT if I had to stay near Mbarara and I could get the rate down by 30% this would definitely be my preferred……

“I reserved my room and was told that they didn’t have any rooms available on the property upon my checking in. They had me wait for 30 mins to an hour for someone to take me to a different location. When the staff arrived, he didn’t introduce himself and just told me to follow him. As we walked out the gate, I thought they would at least provide transportation. Only for the guy to tell me that we’re walking to this undisclosed location in the night. I cancelled my booking. Very unprofessional!!”

“DO NOT BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA Hotel was fine - decent quality for the money. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was nice (though expect a Ugandan breakfast - Katogo and greens and potatoes and sausages). There's a nice view that's in the process of being blocked by a giant mall under construction. However, when I arrived they told me that they could not receive money from Expedia, and I needed to pay them directly. I did so and am in the process of trying to get my money back from Expedia; I……
