The Sunset Inn is a beautifully restored motel. We stayed for one night enjoying the pool and local restaurants. It is convenient to all the Islamorada activities.

It was a convenient stay midway to Key West. But the pool furniture is old and chaises are without cushions. The chaise material stretched causing it very uncomfortably.

Hotel is well situated for travel in and around Islamorada. However, the A/C unit was so old that it ran continuously and was very loud. So much so that you needed earplugs to have any chance of sleeping. Pool chairs are in desperate need of repair. Webbing is so stretched that you’re lying on the metal support beams. Very uncomfortable. Only one tiny hook in the very small bathroom. Front desks answer to drying towels.. “ hang them outside”. Zero water pressure. Good exercyrunning around in the shower to get wet.

Great place to stay. The staff is so pleasant. The rooms are very clean and delightfully renovated. We walked to Lorelei for sunset and dinner. This is my second time staying here and I had the same great experience last year.

Got charged a 10 dollar resort fee for what still do not know . The pool was good but had nothing else but pole the show pressure was poor the water was not hot we like hot showers , the bed was comfortable the trash can had trash in it and refrigerator had somebodies drinks in it

Dear Richard,We charge a 10 daily fee disclosed in the details when making your reservation. I am very surprised my staff would leave trash in a waste basket. We offer water in all rooms. perhaps you mistaken the bottled water as left over? We have had no water issues and if you had one, we would have gladly checked it out for you. As a small hotel, our pool area is just that a pool with lounge chairs, gazebo, ping pong and lawn chess set. We hope you enjoyed your overnight stay in Islamorada!

Overall nice place to stay. Lorelei and Brewery both east walking distance. Pool was heated and comfortable. Room wasn’t ready on time but we were able to use pool. Mangrove Mikes is in same building and great breakfast spot. Bathroom floor was kind of messed up from water but otherwise room was clean. Housekeeping never came in but we got what we needed.

You would never know it by the outside but this place is a gem!! Super clean, comfortable, nice big shower and the swimming pool was a nice bonus. We played the giant chess by the pool and they also had ping pong. The walk to lorelei's along the back road was safe and convenient, beautiful place to eat, drink and watch the sunset while listening to live music with your feet in the sand!! Would definitely stay here again! Very impressed!!

It was newly renovated, clean, quiet, had relaxing pool area with fun and games. The people in office were very nice and helpful! Walking distance to restaurant and beautiful sunset! Definitely coming back!

Room was clean and functional but I would definitely recommend booking a room away from the road as it was noisy. Shower was poor, zero water pressure, just a slow trickle.

Dear Tim,We are sorry your overnight stay was not satisfying for you. The island is undergoing a new freshwater pipe replacement. Occasionally the water pressure is weak as they work on the pipeline. Its temporary and a shame you experienced a day that it was weak.

Perfect stay
100% recommend The Sunset Inn. This retro, but completely updated motel was amazing. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing after a full few days of driving to get there. Super close walk to great eating also. The staff was helpful and friendly. Also check out the one of a kind handmade gifts in the lobby.

Wonderful weekend getaway
Our stay was awesome! The ladies at the front desk were so sweet and accommodating. The coffee and water in the room was such a great touch! The beds were so comfortable and the room was spacious. Great value for money in the keys. Would definitely recommend staying here!

My room was very clean and huge, and the heated pool was great after a long day on the road! My only issue was with the traffic as it’s next to a very busy road, so I barely got some sleep, but other than that it’s a great location and other guests didn’t seem too bothered by the noise so maybe it’s just me!

have stayed here before, and we could do the paperwork upon arrival if we were early, then come back when the room was ready. This time, the attendant did not want to bother with that. Not sure why not??

Hello Larry,I am sorry something simple as paperwork made your stay a "3". We do not pre check in guest if a room is not ready. Our system does not allow us to do so.
