Rooms show some evidence of age (if you are picky about stuff like that), but it's an old Scottish Castle hotel... You want it to feel like an old Scottish Castle, don't you, and it absolutely does. "Beautiful old house with an interesting history. Fully renovated bathroom was a complete surprise. Owner even gave us a lift to the golf course as he was worried that a taxi would be pricey. Lovely town as well."

"Problem with check in. When trying to register they said they expected us the day before claiming that someone had contacted the hotel asking if we could check in a day earlier. Fortunately I was able to show the staff my Hotel booking with the correct date. The matter was resolved but had caused us a bit of a panic before the staff member said that there was a room available for us. The hotel is a bit tired looking in places but the breakfast was "

"Lovely house with beautifully original windows in front and furniture in keeping with the property. Wonderful location , near to Campbeltown and spectacular views . "

"Stayed with my three grandchildren very spacious and clean room view out the window was amazing staff were friendly and helpful .Showers were good and not too far away from the room .It was great we could use the kitchen to cook our food and plenty of areas to relax.Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this hostel."
