Awesome family getaway

We have kids living in 3 different states, so we don’t get be all together much. This was an awesome retreat for all of us!! Love everything! The house worked out perfect for all of us.

Spring Break Trip

The house we stayed in was amazing. It was clean and decorated so well. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen. We loved the screened in porch and had our morning coffee there every morning and every evening we had our glass of wine there. The pool location was ideal. The beach access is literally a 2-3 minute walk from the house. It was only 20 minute drive to Sullivan Island and Mount Pleasant and only a 30 minute drive to Charleston. I would highly recommend staying here.

Enjoyed this property - particularly enjoyed preparing meals in the beautiful kitchen. Loved having the extra beverage refrigerator. The screened in porch was our meeting place in the morning for coffee. Used the grill multiple nights. Loved having the pool around the corner and just a short walk to the beach. When we arrived there were no ping pong balls and there was no corn hole set (as seen in pictures), but I contacted property management and they brought both. Relaxing week! Recommend this property!

Lovely place to stay

We had a wonderful week on Isle of Palms in Dunes West and this house completely met our needs. The house was spotless when we arrived! The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and equipment including baking pans which was helpful since we celebrated several family birthdays while at the beach together. The screened porch (with ceiling fan) and back deck (with grill) got a LOT of use. It was fun to look at the turtles in the small pond behind the house. We were close to the community pool but were never bothered by noise from it. It was an easy walk to the beach access. The house is on a cul-de-sac which was perfect for the kids to ride their bikes and play safely. We had a wonderful vacation!

Excellent cottage and location.

We enjoyed the cottage a 55 Pelican Reach. Kitchen was well equipped although the toaster was probably ready to be upgraded. Bedrooms and baths were clean with plenty of space. Master bath was bright with 4 front windows but still offering sense of privacy, Soaking tub was a wonderful addition and was used frequently by my wife. Table tennis and corn hole were nice additions for evening or rainy day use. Every room was nicely decorated with seashore motif items and pleasant wall colors. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Beach Cottage

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful beach cottage. It is located in a quiet area of Isle of Palms. Beach access was very easy & convenient. The beach is about a 5 minute walk across the street and down a path. We also visited downtown Charleston frequently & the drive is also very easy. It was nice to be able to see the area and return to this get-away by the beach. I highly recommend this property. The property management is exceptionally helpful and very informative. We were never left with a single question. While visiting, the water was not warming up for showers. We emailed the property manager and the issue was addressed and fixed immediately. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this home very highly. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Three Generations Enjoying Pelican Reach

Everything has been wonderful, from the initial choice and rental to working with the local property managers to the actual home. This home is very pleasant and comfortable for 8 people from age 11 to 85. The short walk to the beach is easy and attractive. The beach here is wide and clean with nice sand, allowing walks, kite flying, bicycle riding (best at low tide), boogie boarding, and of course swimming. Shopping is near; Charleston offers many side trips. But coming back to this house feels like coming home.

The plumbing is loud. Air Conditioning units are next to screened in porch/back deck and are loud. Outdoor shower is not closed in, does not have warm water and viewable from driveway. Everything else about the house was fine. Good location, clean and nice decor. Could hear music from event venue.

Enjoyed Our Stay!

We had a group of 8 and found the house very comfortable with plenty of room. The house itself was beautiful and offered all the amenities we needed. It was an easy short walk to the beach, even for my dad who is 80 years old. I would definitely consider renting this house again for our family vacation.

Perfect House For Our Family Vacation

This house was perfect for our family of 7 - grandma, two adult children and spouses, and two children ages 2 and 5. The short walk to the beach and pool, both minutes away, made access very easy. We found the beach spacious even at high tide. And we liked that we could see the pool from the back porch. The pool could get crowded with kids at times, but our little ones enjoyed the camaraderie. The neighborhood seemed very private and was very quiet with no through streets. The house itself was lovely and seemed newly decorated. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and there was plenty of closet space for a vacation stay. The kitchen was well equipped for someone who really wanted to cook. There was enough seating with extra chairs in addition to the one sofa for us to all gather at night. We enjoyed having the game area below the house for ping pong and corn hole. With five adults it would have been nice to have a third full bath, but we made do just fine with 2 full and one half baths. We really enjoyed the Wild Dunes resort with our sports pass - particularly the family pool that included a large one foot area and splash fountain that our 2 year old loved. Our 5 year old loved the treasure hunt activity at the resort and we all had fun at outdoor bingo. Both kids enjoyed the playground and the adults played golf. We liked being able to bike to breakfast or the beach bar as the central resort area was about 1/2 mile away. We loved this house and its location, and would definitely rent it again if we plan to return to Isle of Palms.
