Family Vacation at the Beach

My husband and I, our 2 grown children and their partners and our 14 month old grandson just spent a week at 5 32nd Ave. it was a great house for us. Everyone appreciated the en suite bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. We hired a private chef one night and the large kitchen was great for her. We all enjoyed the balconies, the pool and the fire pit. One rainy day we stayed in and played games. The large living room with leather couches allowed us all to hang out comfortably. The house is an easy walk to the beach as the public access point is close.

Family Spring Break

Family from North and South Carolina met and spent a super week in this amazing house! The kitchen was fully stocked for the few nights that we cooked in and there was PLENTY of seating for our family of 10. We had enough room inside to not be cramped also! Would definitely recommend!!!

Everything we’ve looked for ..

We are picky! We’ve been renting beach houses for family vacations for so many years in so many locations! All we ask is perfection! Very easy walk to the beach. Comfortable mattresses, king beds in 3 bedrooms, twins or queen in other bedrooms, shady pool with plenty of shallow water for the toddlers, lots of porch and outdoor seating, nearby grocery and good restaurants. This property hit all our desires. One small recommendation would be to add shades or drapes to the great room since it got too warm in late afternoon. Otherwise we all agreed this one is a keeper!

Baseball in Charleston

We loved this rental property. We came in for baseball games but also for a family vacation. The house was close to the beach ( weather did not cooperate) close to town and to the ship yard where baseball games were played. House was large enough for fun and games or for those that just wanted their own space. Issue with the hot water the first day but was immediately taken care of. There were no kitchen towels so went through extra paper towels other then that it was perfect! Will look to rent this again next year for sure and pray for better weather😁

Great family experience

Overall the property was ideal for our family of eleven. There was ample space for family gatherings, but also a floorplan that accommodated private space for each family. Proximity to the beach was excellent, while the house location was still removed from the main traffic area. Our family enjoyed the pool but the pump timer needs adjusted to a later time both on and off. It was loud enough to wake people on that side of the house very early and shut off by mid afternoon. Although we arrived Saturday the pool did not appear to have been cleaned before our arrival.

Great family vacation

We packed the house with family and friends for a beach vacation. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed and the management company was very responsive to our questions. Excellent location, so close to the beach (very walkable) and convenient drive to the stores.

TV did not work, HVAC was out of whack with 15+ degree temperature differences between floors, pool heater was non-functioning and yard was filled with raccoon feces. Will find another property next year.

my Mom's victory tour

My Mom is leaving SC to live with me She uses a wheelchair. This property was perfect... She was so happy to be in the sun after a NH winter! The joy on her face and in her smile was priceless.

Perfect family vacation home

We were so pleased with this property. It was perfect for our 2 families. The home was clean and well stocked with all the kitchen essentials. It was just a short walk to the beach which made it easy. We would stay here again.

Pool was not working when we arrived— and was very dirty. Multiple messages over a couple of days to get it fixed. Outdoor furniture also dirty and not well kept. Rocking chair on back deck was broken. Back deck needed pressure washing—very dirty. Lovely home but For the price expected a better experience

Family Getaway

We had a great time staying at this property! The house was beautiful and very comfortable! It was the perfect vacation spot for us with several grown children and 2 granddaughters. We cooked in the well stocked kitchen everyday and never had to leave! It’s a close walk to the beach and a perfect location!

Overall Nice Option

After booking late in the game this summer, we found this house. It suited our family well as each bedroom has an attached bathroom. It's also close to the beach and was an easy drive to the stores. The only downsides were the lack of a cool fridge upon arrival (with Covid and Babies, kinda needed) and the overall cleanliness wasn't 100% ... I think it's just high season, but we found some debris/dead bugs in the house upon arrival.

We live IOP!

Great week to escape from all the craziness! House was lovely, extremely comfortable for our family of 10, four young and active grandchildren and six adults. Pool was just the right size and we loved the sun deck on the pool. An easy 5 minute walk to gorgeous IOP beach.

Christmas week stay

Beautiful home, Great location

We enjoyed staying in this lovely home for Christmas with our family of 8. It is in a great location, just a short walk from the beach and a 20 minute ride into Charleston. It is close to Harris Teeter, Whole foods, and Trader Joe`s. The kitchen is furnished with upscale appliances and is beyond well-stocked with dishes coffee makers, small appliances, utensils and pots and pans. We enjoyed using the outdoor Weber gas grill (propane was provided) and washer/dryer. The only thing we brought were some spices for cooking. The inside of the home is very clean and beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfortable, including two Tempur Pedic mattresses. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan. We attended church 15 minutes away on Sullivan`s island and enjoyed exploring many of the attractions in the area, including Patriot's Point, SC Aquarium, Angel Oak Tree on Johns Island, a Carriage ride tour and Market in downtown Charleston. We sampled local cuisine each day we were there. Some of our favorite restaurants were Poogan's Porch, Low Country Bistro, Jestine's, Cru Cafe, Amen Street, Kaminski's and Poe's Tavern.

Awesome!

We had the most amazing time staying at this beautiful IOP home. This was one of the homes that our family rented for a family reunion. The home was clean & very well kept. The interior was very light, bright & comfortable. The beach was easily within walking distance, only about a block away & the neighborhood was very pretty & people were friendly. I really don't think we could have chosen a better home. If we were to go back, we'd definitely check to see if this home was available again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful beach house

The property was beautiful. The house was layed out perfectly. All the bedrooms had their privacy no one was close to anyone else. The furniture was all high end the kitchen was well stocked. The management staff took care of any problems immediately. The location of the house was perfect. Overall it was a great house and one of our best beach vacation. We want to thank the owners for sharing their house with us.
