Didn’t like that we had a third floor room and there was no one to help with bags. We are seniors and, yes, we can do 3 flights of steps but carrying luggage up and down was an issue!!! Also, we have stayed in a lot of B&Bs and never was there no choices at breakfast. Fortunately, we thought the blueberry pancakes and fresh fruit were very good but what if we didn’t like pancakes?? The plus was it was a good location for us and the touring we were going to do!

The breakfast prepared each day was good. The room was clean for the most part but the windows were very old and weathered. They were covered by a clear plastic cover in a plastic frame. There were many bugs between the windows and the covers and at the base of the covers were Kleenex to fill in the gaps. This was corrected after I noted it as a concern. The window air conditioner was noisy and blew directly on the person sleeping closest to it(me). The location is good. There is a brewery with wood fired pizza very close. The lake is also fairly close.

Really loved this place. Very charming, beds were comfortable, water hot. Not always the case in a historic building. The pub that’s part of it is as great too. I missed breakfast but I heard that it was really good. A very nice weekend retreat.

The historic inn was nicely renovated and well maintained with a lot of character. We were on the second floor and our room was spacious with what felt like a new mattress. The inn was clean and quiet. Very nice toiletries were provided. Breakfast was made to order and delicious--how special is that! A note said many of the staff were students and they were very polit and friendly. The attached pub had good food and beer and so convenient for dinner on our arrival evening. We enjoyed using the 2nd floor common area, Coffee, tea, cold water and a refrig were available for guests at all times. Parking was free and right out back. We highly recommend.

Wonderful stay

This is a very nice historic inn. We stayed in room 6 which was exactly as advertised. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and was cooked to order. Lastly the attached pub was a nice perk and enjoyable. My girlfriend has already said that we will still here again the next time we are in the area.
