Peace and Beauty. Mercifully Nightclub Free.
We rented this spacious property for one month. A second-floor, south-facing, corner unit of the peaceful, beautifully-lanscaped Ixtapa marina development. Security guards at the gated entrance, covered parking for our rental car (you DO need a car, the peace and security come with remoteness) and an elevator for easy accessability. Best feature of this apt is its huge covered patio which is very private and provides much-needed shade throughout the day. It’s magnificent view out over the marina entrance inlet is like Tropical TV: we were entertained all day by yachts sailing past, pelicans and frigate birds fishing, iguanas sunning on the rocks, hummingbirds, tiny bats and swallows eating the bugs at dusk - *Note: bring repellant if this is a problem for you. Husband was plagued by bites, wife not :)
Nice pool for relaxing (not swimming laps) just downstairs. The apt has its own marked chairs and loungers, which we discovered to be important. Kitchen is dated but adequate; dishwasher was missing; great fridge though.
Owner responded promptly and positively throughout.
It was hot, as expected, and also very humid during our stay mid-Jan to mid-Feb.
