Cute place, but as a woman traveling alone for business, I would Recommend adding deadbolts to the doors or another safety feature that would prevent another person with a key (like staff) from entering. I would recommend no longer leaving keys in the door of the rooms. I would recommend having staff wear name tags. Those are features that would make me feel safe enough to return. (Also consider adding instructions on how to work the multiple remote controls for the television. And a secure WiFi connection.)

Well....

We arrived to find that the room we booked was not the room that we were put in when we asked we were told well theres a family staying long term in the jeepers creepers room so its not for rent. Although it was on this website, anyways we asked for a refund and went elsewhere, the room we were put in was dusty and smelt damp. I can not comment on the rest of the hotel but this is not somewhere i would stay the pictures do not reflect this hotel. I also found staff rude when we said we were not paying for a room we did not book oh and the room was charged at a higher rate. My tip check the room before you hand over payment.

We liked it

We enjoyed the place overall and will go back. However, the food at the bar is minimal and nothing to brag about. And the power went out in the middle of the night bc of a storm and they apparently dont have generators. We got no sleep bc it was so hot. When I called the next morning to see how long it would be out, they said they didn't even know it was out. But my overall complaint would be that I tried contacting the place numerous times in the 3 to 4 days before we were to go and no one ever answered the phone. On the day we were arriving, they called at 4:55 to see when we would arrive bc no one was going to be there. Thankfully we were only 2 miles up the road. But I didn't like the lack of communication prior to us arriving. Also, I had no clue where to go check in. I was then thankful they had just called me bc I was able to call the number back and find out where to go. But the room was nice. The pool was nice.

Probably won't stay there again.

For the money I expected a little better. There was no services offered. Didn't even check in. Was given a key and that was it. The grounds were kept up. The room we stayed in had graffiti on the bathroom door and nasty language on the table.

Rustic, Historic Cottage, But Lighter on Amenities/ Cleaniness Than Expected A few improvements could easily boost this to a 3-4 star room- a few more amenities and better cleaning standards. Nice wood floor, comfortable living room. Kitchen sink small, no kitchen window blinds. Filthy bowl under kitchen sink trap to catch leaking water. Few utensils, pots or pans. Handle missing on refrigerator. No counter, shelf space or towel hangers In bathroom. No place anywhere to hang clothing. Hundreds of dead bugs/ flies in windows, under bed. Mattress a bit soft. Several places where windows not sealed to the outside. Much potential, just not there yet.
