The community is centrally located for easy day trips and excursions or perfect for spending quiet days at home to enjoy the serene setting surrounded by lush foliage and exotic birds while sitting by your private pool. The community's gorgeous Hermosa Palms Beach Club is nestled along the beach and includes a resort style pool and swim up bar with delicious food and drinks. You will also find Hermosa Palms Spa on site, offering massages and other services.

Each morning can begin with coffee on the porch watching Macaws and humming birds followed by a relaxing beach walk collecting treasures or watching newly hatched turtles making their way to the surf. Don't forget to go back to the beach at dusk for beautiful sunsets over the ocean.

For surfers, you have found the perfect surf spot. Playa Hermosa boasts the best and most consistent waves in all of Costa Rica. At the end of our beach road where it meets the highway you will find Vida Hermosa Restaurant which holds a surf contest every Saturday night and the best beach party in town on Sundays. It is a very popular gathering spot and the beach will be buzzing with friends and families watching the surfers.

Along the highway in Playa Hermosa are many other great beach front restaurants. Try them all if you can, but if you only have time for a few, Bowies Point and Vida Hermosa are our favorites, with great food and a great vibe.

For more restaurants, grocery stores, banks etc., the well-known town of Jaco is just 10 minutes north on highway 34. Stop along the way to snap photos of the spectacular overlooks . 5 more minutes north is the town of Herradura and Los Suenos Marriott Resort and Marina. Deep sea fishing and other excursions leave from the Los Suenos Marina. Directly across the highway is the popular Los Suenos zipline, horseback riding , waterfalls tours etc. Travel a little further north for drinks, dinner and a beautiful sunset high atop Villa Caletas Hotel and Restaurant. 5 more minutes north, just before Tarcoles river is Carara National Park. Walk through the jungle trails to spot wildlife or opt for a guided tour and be amazed as the guide helps you snap perfect pictures of the hidden colorful birds, bats and other wildlife. 30 minutes south of Hermosa Palms you can spend the morning walking through the jungle and over hanging bridges at Rainmaker Forest or ride on Raffa's Monkey Boat Tour through the mangroves. The monkeys come right on the boat as you feed them bananas!!! 15 minutes further south is the well-known Manuel Antonio National Park. Check them all out on Trip Advisor or just ask us. We are located about 90 minutes from SJO airport. To travel from the airport to Hermosa Palms, you can book a private van service and rent a car once you arrive in Jaco, or rent a car at the airport. Another car rental option that we like to recommend is Zuma rental car in Jaco. They will provide transport to and from the airport in your rental car. There must be room for the driver from Zuma so this tends to work well for groups of 4 or 5 but is so convenient and reasonably priced.

Once booked we will send you instructions for a self check in, but we can help with anything you need prepared in advance from stocking the fridge before you arrive, arrange for cleaning and or chef services as needed and anything else that comes up.
