I booked this place for one night thinking it was going to be horrible based on the reviews, but it was clean and I actually enjoyed my stay. So much that I booked an additional night.

The beds were expecially firm. Property has undergone renovations and is clean and updated. No front desk staff at check-out in the morning.

The room was very clean and quiet. August, the receptionist was exceptional helpful and kind. She even helped us carrying our luggage. The breakfast was great.

After I got past the unswept entrance area, the rickety handrail, the non staffed reception and the dark hallway, every thing in the room was absolutely perfect. When there's construction how hard is it to at least sweep the entry area. There was no attempt over each of the days of my stay. The breakfast was nice if I got there before 6:30. Otherwise rates mediocre at best. Probably a slight plus had the entry area felt tended too. Good luck, -dh

We had been traveling all day and when we got there, noone was there. It said to dial the phone. It rang by where we were standing. We waited 30 minutes before the lady finally answered. She was next door at the other hotel working. She lost some other customers by being gone. We (other people too) had a really hard time making coffee. It was slow.

Staff member was excellent but first room had not been vacuumed so had pistachio shells on the carpet. The next room had 2 dead bugs on the floor that I googled to ensure what they were and it said a type of cricket. Not sure how it had a 9.2 or was it 9.4 rating and we paid $178.00 Canadian for it. Would not stay there again.

Our room was clean. Hot water for sink and shower. AC cold. Beds clean and comfortable. 2 issues. 1. First room (163) we were assigned was occupied! So had to wait 30+ minutes for another room (159). 2. Room 159 door was not opening properly. Could only open by turning handle up and even then that seemed iffy. So that meant we could never both leave the room and feel comfortable that we could get back in the room.
