Adirondack Riverfront Retreat

A cozy, newly renovated cabin with rustic Adirondack charm located steps away from the Ausable River with a view of Whiteface Mountain. It features a beautiful living space with a fully equipped kitchen. Located just 12 miles from Whiteface Mt and 20 miles from Lake Placid.

We are often at our private home on the property, about 40ft from your cabin, and we're happy to help with anything that may arise. Otherwise, we're only a phone call away. Please enjoy your time here–we want to respect your privacy and enable you to enjoy the serenity. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions or check with us on our schedule.

Great Cabin

We stayed for 2 nights and it was fantastic. Good idea to come with some groceries for sure. We brought a few meals with us and had a wonderful stay. The hiking is beautiful in the area also.

Quiet Getaway

Perfect peaceful getaway

This cabin was the perfect stay for me, my boyfriend and our pups! It was the most peaceful stay tucked in the mountains of the Adirondacks.

Incredible place and views

This beautiful luxury cabin on the West Branch of the Ausable River is amazing. Everything was perfect and we completely enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Great stay!

Perfect spot to come back to after a couple days of banging out high peaks. I felt right at home in this cozy cabin, a much needed respite after a summer of fieldwork. Super clean, and a great option for solo travelers or couples looking for a couple days away from the grind.

Beautiful clean and cozy.

Beautiful little lovers cabin. Everything you would need is there even know we always bring are own bathroom products and coffee it was there. Short drive to Whiteface and lake placid. We really enjoyed the cabin in the winter. We would definitely stay again.

25th anniversary get-away in the woods

We were looking for a quiet little get-away in the woods, with things to do nearby and this checked all of our boxes! Beautiful area with nearby restaurants and shops, but you feel so far away from the hustle and bustle while on the property; it was perfect! The cottage had everything we needed and a great view of the water!

Great Stay!

I love this spot on the river! The space is just as advertised and is perfect for 1-2 people. Scot is an excellent host and is easily contacted if you need anything. Nothing like a fire here watching the sunset!

A Wonderful Place

I have stayed here 4x now. Its very great location on the river. the cabin has everything you need for 1-2 people. Lots of windows facing the river to enjoy the view. Love just being there! Scot is a great host and everything was super smooth!

Snowshoe/Lake Placid Trip

It’s a quaint cabin in Jay, New York. Perfect stay if planning to do some traveling/adventuring. The cabin was very clean and the owner was very informative about the whole process. Be aware that there is not great cell reception in the area, but the owner provides wifi.

Super Cozy!

Amazing little cozy cabin! We had a great time! Very good selection of books, watched some scary movies and we ended up reading ghost stories of the Adirondacks. Excellent communication from our Host Scot from before we booked the trip up until out last night there. Very clean cabin! 10/10 I'd recommend:)

Great little Cabin Getaway!

We stayed at the cabin on the river for a long weekend and it was everything we hoped it would be. It was quiet and peaceful and although the owner lives in the house next door, we were left alone and had the place to ourselves to relax. The river is beautiful and the cabin was clean and just enough for 2 people. The owner was very attentive and we would definitely do it again.

Great quiet cabin!

I recently had the pleasure of staying in this charming cabin. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by nature and by the Ausable river. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Scot was incredibly welcoming and provided us with helpful information about the area, including great hiking trails and local attractions. PERFECT Spot

Idyllic property, right on a gorgeous stretch of the Ausable River. Clean and comfy cabin with all that you need. We truly relaxed, spent a lot of time enjoying the river and the views. Great proximity to all that makes this area of the Adirondacks so special - Wilmington, Whiteface, Lake Placid, Jay, Keene -- all nearby. Lots of great hikes in the area. Our host Scot was super-responsive. We'd go back, for sure!

Cozy cabin

Very clean, well-organized cabin! The view of the river is breathtaking. We hiked some local trails and would return here afterwards for dinner, a fire, and a refreshing night’s sleep and/or coffee on the deck in the morning. Has instant hot water heater and Mitsubishi A/C for those who can only take the outdoors on them for so long! Really cozy, rustic ambience. Very close to LP 9peaks for those who like to hike. Completely recommend it. Scot, the owner, is very responsive and kind.

Scot was a fantastic host, the property was extremely peaceful, comfortable, and exactly what we wanted it to be for our stay. Our favorite part of our day was eating breakfast on the deck and walking down to the river to read by the peaceful river. Would strongly recommend a stay here.
