“Second time here, just a stop off the freeway, very nice!”

“The breakfast was very good. They had good cinnamon rol ls, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, scrambled eggs, and 2 types of sausage. The biscuits tasted fresh and the gravy actually had some sausage in it! Our inly issue was that someone pulled the fire alarm at 5:30 a.m.”

“The room was really nice and clean, and the TV lineup was also really good. The front desk was very helpful and kind. Overall it was a good stay for the money. The only complaint I've got is that the parking lot had many shady characters hanging around the back and the side. But I'd stay again, the room was nice and the price was perfect.”

“If you were looking for a spooky adventure, then this is the place for you. You get the real cracks in the walls the flickering lights in the dirty sheets I would suggest bringing your own tarp to lay over everything .”

“The hotel (Mount Vernon Hotel and Event Center - no longer exists under this name) has changed management and did not allow us to stay. They said they could see our reservation and were willing to cancel it, but it was booked under a previous management and they did not allow any pets, so we could not stay with our dog. They said they credited out account, but I am still being charged the full amount by Expedia and it is, so far, very difficult to contact Expedia for a credit. We ended up……

“The lodge was absolutely perfect for a long weekend getaway for my family. We spent as much time outdoors as possible, taking advantage of the lakes and firepit and outdoor speakers. Beverly was a great host, with tons of communication and really looking for us. Strongly recommend this amazing property!”

“This property owner is non communicative with both guests and VRBO. They will eventually, at the last minute when prompted by vrbo, send check in instructions and say they expect a 5 star review. We would not feel safe traveling to this property (especially with children) without solid communication. All onus is placed on guests no matter the circumstances. This property owner knows that and works in those parameters. Cannot in good faith recommend this property or host.”
