A great beach stay

This property was clean, cute, and stocked with everything we needed. It was within easy walking to the beach with 2 younger kids. We certainly recommend and plan to come back!

Beautiful Home

This is probably the only VRBO that I’ve stayed at that looks exactly the same as the online photos. This was a perfect place to stay for our Jekyll Island adventure!

Great Place to Stay!!!

Excellent proximity to beach and other island amenities. Place was extremely clean, well maintained, and stocked with all the extras you wouldn’t even expect (k-cups, beach chairs, beach towels, etc.). Would absolutely stay there again.

Summer vacation in Jekyll

This is our second year staying at Anchors Away. The place is well kept up and is perfect for my family. The fenced in backyard was great for our 4 legged kids. We were visited by deer each day which is a highlight for my wife. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful stay

The house is such a gem! Great location- although I don’t think you could have a bad location on Jekyll island! The whole island is wonderful. We came to town for a tennis tournament and even though it ended up getting cancelled due to rain- we still had a fabulous time on the island and at the home. There was plenty of space for us and we all enjoyed the home. Will definitely rent again!

Anchors Away review

Well stocked with extras-beach chairs, beach towels, board games, kitchen utensils and bath linens. Nice, quiet neighborhood and great location. Highly recommend for a great family vacation!

Best sleep- EVER !!!

Very clean and modern inside. We had enough towels, dish soap, Keurig, seating and space. The Island is perfectly quaint and unique. We stayed for 2 weeks and it felt warm and cozy. We would book this house again

Very clean, nicely furnished, great beds

This place was geared toward guest comfort. I can’t think of anything negative to say about it. The king bed was very comfortable, which sometimes is is not the case away from home. Four stars for location was only because it’s two blocks off the main beach road. Great place if you have dogs, The fenced backyard was wonderful for them. Highly recommend and would go back.

Older Home Nice Updates

You can tell the home was built in the 70s but they really did a very nice job updating the homes, especially the bathrooms and brand new kitchen. Some walls had some scuffs and things, and we photographed them upon arrival. Host was excellent and very responsive. One suggestion please provide more toilet paper.

Wedding Weekend

I stayed here during my wedding weekend and it was also where all the bridesmaids & I got ready. It was the perfect space for us. The natural lighting was also great for a few pictures. The location was also amazing, very close to all the places we needed to go to!

Everything you need for a beach vacation

Anchors Away had everything my family needed for a relaxing beach vacation. The kitchen had plenty of space and all the appliances we needed. It has a nice grill and fire pit on the patio plus a hose to wash off our sandy feet when we got back from the beach. The beach is an easy two block walk and much quieter than the beaches near the hotels. Everything was very clean, thank you for a wonderful stay on beautiful Jekyll Island!

Perfect place for a visit to Jekyll Island

We had a lovely stay at Anchors Away. It was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was quite well equipped for cooking. Great location that's convenient to the beach and bike trails. We would be happy to stay here again.

This place was amazing! The attention to detail was so impressive. The house was warm and inviting, beautiful decor, very clean with comfortable beds. I will be staying here again if available on my next trip to Jekyll Island !

We had such a great time! The house was so clean and pretty. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog! Plenty of room for our family. My parents especially enjoyed the bikes.

Luxury & location

I cannot say enough positive things about this property. Location was ideal for the beach, the back yard was perfect for our dogs, the decor was on point with unique touches, and extras like the fire pit, grill, espresso machine and scented candles made it feel like complete luxury! I wish we could live there full time, but I can guarantee we will be back.

My family, me and our dog really enjoyed our stay here. There is nothing that I could change to make it better as it was a clean, well laid out house and the espresso machine was a welcomed addition. We really enjoued and plan to be back.
