Enjoyed the stay but there might be squatters?

While the stay was pleasant, this is a spacious beautiful home, we did get the impression that there might be a squatter in between reservations. Upon arrival it was noticed that while the house seemed clean one of the beds had been slept in and there was coffee left in the pot. One of the door was left unlocked and a window was found slightly open. We informed the host after check out and no apologies or discount were offered which is disappointing since this is such an expensive rental. For over 2000 for 2 nights I would expect someone would check the rental the day guests are arriving.

This place is SO COOL! Best view of anywhere I’ve ever stayed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view from the fire pit looks like a painting. The home is quite fancy, but instead just feels like the cool kid’s house on a TV show. This was a really unique and special experience for my family. Whoever put this house together wanted you to get something memorable and out of the ordinary. Definitely coming back.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The power had just been turned on the night before we arrived. The house smelled musty, the toaster didn't work, the yard was a mess we couldn't enjoy sunsets for the ds bris on chairs and fire pit. I feal the property was not ready for guests at that time and we should have been rescheduled.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at this home. It had everything we needed and plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked. The house was clean and close to everything. We enjoyed the doors that opened up in the evening as we watched the sunset. The property agency was helpful during Hurricane Milton. The house is about a mile walk to the Horton House historic site and another mile from Driftwood Beach. There are paths right out the front door to enjoy the views even more. We definitely will be back.

The house is impeccably decorated with touches from around the world. The couches and beds are extremely comfortable. There are tons of cooking utensils and equipment which was great as we cooked every meal at the house. Only issue we had was with the ice maker.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What an awesome house! It was vey spacious and well laid out. The art work through was fun to look at and my wife even feel in love with one particular piece hanging in the dining area. The back yard was in full bloom with Azalea which seemed to attract a large variety of birds. The only issue, and this is just the nature of Jekyll Island, was that we weren’t able to enjoy opening the window wall as the gnats were thick as thieves. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and Emmons was quick to respond to any questions or issues. I would definitely stay at this home again.
