The room and balcony was spacious and the bathroom was beautiful. Reception was efficient and polite.
There was an empty bottle of wine in the room from the previous occupants.
The balcony was looking out onto a roof.
Was difficult to get a coffee at 16:30.
Kosher hotels are a complete hypocrisy
Our stay at the David Citadel in Jerusalem was truly wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, the location is incredible, and the atmosphere makes it feel like a very special place. What stood out most, though, was the amazing staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay exceptional. The level of service throughout the hotel was outstanding.
There was really only one negative part of our stay. We were in room 945, and unfortunately, the mattress appeared to be broken or damaged on one side. It was very uncomfortable and made it difficult for me to sleep properly. I didn't report it at the time because between jet lag and very busy days, I was simply too exhausted to deal with having it looked at or potentially changing rooms. Based on the incredible service we received everywhere else, I have no doubt the staff would have addressed it immediately had I said something.
I mention it only because I hope the hotel checks the mattress for the next guest.
Aside from that, our experience was exceptional. Beautiful hotel, fantastic location, and truly wonderful staff. We left with great memories and would absolutely stay at the David Citadel again.

The hotel, staff and property were accommodating, courteous and comfortable.
This is a beautiful hotel with a great location amazing service! and very family friendly. We were very happy here and will definitely stay here again. 😊
Great location. Amazing views. Excellent service at breakfast buffet which is impressive. Atta added his special touch in his personalized service at breakfast. Rooms are well appointed and nice in size. We walked to the old city and just soaked about Jerusalem so easily from this location. We look forward to returning.
The staff was extremely polite. We had a late flight out and they gave us an extended late checkout as a courtesy which they didn’t have to do.
The staff was also very attentive to elderly guests at breakfast, anticipating their every need. Was very special to see.
We have stayed at this hotel many times and we have never been disappointed. When you arrive they say “Welcome Home” and they are right. The service is excellent and everyone cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable including Sami in the morning doing artwork in the cappuccino foam. We have rarely made a request even at the last minute that they could not accommodate. I would urge anyone coming to Jerusalem for the first or 20th time to stay here.
Very disappointed that there was tons of noise outside my room and from the lobby in middle of the night. And the shower never got very hot. I asked to fix it but it was never fixed.
Overall the staff was good and the location is great.
We wanted the light in our room to be shut off but it was a difficult task since the light was set to Shabbat mode. Unfortunately, we had the light on the whole evening and we couldn't sleep. We went and complained to the reception desk. As a courtesy, Yazen Atrash offered our family lunch which was an incredible experience. He also offered to give us a discount when we're ready to book another reservation. We are So Happy with the incredible service that Yazan offered us. We will definitely come again!
Hotel is nicely decorated.
Room is spacious though without a nice view.
Tub and shower very nice and convenient.
Breakfast was great even though it was Saturday so no hand made omelets. Still very tasty and clean.
Must say the service was bad. Receptionist and other staff members are not very nice, we felt unwelcome. Never had such experience in other hotels in Jerusalem. So we will not come back to this hotel.
Price was expensive for one night stay.
Dairy restaurant was not open during Friday night, we could only order to go and no available tables for someone who wants to order a snack or coffee. Too bad for 5 star hotel.
Location is awesome.
The hotel is expensive and did not allow us to accommodate our guests while we sat at the pool. They were not staying the night just two visiting relatives that were told to leave.
