Disappointing

When we arrived, room had been double booked, they moved other person out, no cleaning done, found medication in the draw. No sweetners available, no drinking glasses in the room. Shower was dirty. Bedside lamp did not work, plug had blown. Photos on website nothing like we landed up getting. Very disappointing.

Pleasant stay

Lovely boutique hotel. Rooms are clean. Ample space to relax and unwind on the hotel grounds. Really appreciated the easy check-in particularly as I made reservations early evening for sameday check-in. Had a bit of a restless sleep on last day as was disturbed by the opening of a faucet from the next room which was unusually loud and the disturbance by early bird guests. This may have been due ot the location of the room. Had a quiet and restful sleep in other rooms allocated. Breakfast could do with a bit of variety as it gets boring after a few days stay. The Chef assistant /waitress could be more friendly and not be so snippy.

Not impressed The room clearly had some damp issues- did not smell pleasant at all. Wifi did not work ( we stayed 4 days so it could have sorted but ?! ) Breakfirst was great but we had to pay 15 rand for coffe ???!!!! On a 4star ....

Nice comfortable private place. Standalone bath tub a nice feature. Two small let downs - wifi in bedrooms weak and not working for some of our stay - apparently due to the rain. Also additional charges for decent coffee at breakfast.

Short overnight business stay

We arrived late at night, which was absolutely no problem for the hotel. Security let us in and raised the Receptionist who quickly checked us in and showed us to our palatial room, which was absolutely huge, very nicely decorated and well appointed. Breakfast the next morning was good, with good, fast service.

Nice bed and breakfast well situated in Bryanston

The staff especially Nolly were so friendly and efficient. From check in to check out was nothing but superb. My wife and I had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Guesthouse Maintenance needed

Unfortunately this guesthouse is in need of much maintenance. Had to move rooms when bath tub drainage pipe pulled lose and there was also water damage on an external wall and mold formed. In the second room unfortunately a similar situation when shower handle pulled off wall. Staff and management friendly and helpful but the quality of rooms not acceptable.

Beautiful Bryanston Mansion

I was in Bryanston for a wedding and stayed at the Wesley with 2 other couples.The location was very convenient and safe (24 hour security)Breakfasts were fantastic and all the staff were very friendly and not imposing at all- we felt like we had the run of the place to ourselves!The rooms were beautifully decorated and huge. We especially enjoyed the quirky honesty bar which provided us with many laughs on the 2 evenings we stayed there. We would have loved to make use of the beautiful pool area, but didn't get a chance to.

Brilliant location - peaceful environment

My husband and I recently stayed at The Wesley in late May 2014. I found Hotels.com had provided my credit card details directly to the hotel where they automatically debited my account prior to my arrival. I note this is not the policy of Hotels.com. The accommodation is a little tired and needs a refresh. The breakfasts are lovely and plentiful. The location is safe and central to Sandton and Bryanston.

Good location

Good location, I just feel sorry for the poor receptionist that has to be that, waiter, organizer and everything else. Overall its very comfortable, clean and good place to stay.
