Johnston Business Hotel

"This hotel was central to family we were visiting and the highway so ideal for us being from Minnesota. It was by far the least expensive of the well reviewed hotels in the area- that always makes me nervous. Why the lower price? Answer- not sure. We asked for a room far away from the pool (which most are), the room was big, clean, and quiet. Perfect for us. My husband said the bed was a little head- I thought it was great. Breakfast was standard but well stocked and staff were attentive. Last thing- we stayed a weekend when a youth soccer team was also staying there. At other hotels this has been a nightmare because of noise/yelling/running late into the night. We had NONE of that here. That alone is worth a rave review. Thank you staff!! We will be back! "

"Very good facility for a budget hotel. Not a pristine property, but well maintained and clean. My room was huge— much larger than I expected. Desk clerk was efficient and friendly. Although not too many sidewalks, a large, nice grocery store and an open-late restaurant are in easy walking distance. Also very close to the Des Moines Airport (DSM)."

"The workers were all amazing! As nice as can be & went above & beyond. The trouble I had was nothing on the floor of the shower to prevent slips. Felt very uncomfortable taking a shower. Also there are no hairdryers. The gentleman working overnight even tried to find me a room with one I could use. Finally found one but then the hairdryer didn’t even work. That’s a small amenity that should be in every room. Those 2 things would have me thinking twice about staying there again."
