Ramada Hotel & Convention Center by Wyndham Topeka Downtown
8/10 Good
"This hotel is very convenient for downtown Topeka and is walking distance to the capitol. The free breakfast was good. My room was clean. However, the hotel is not in the best condition and the public areas including the hallways were run down and dirty. This hotel is in need of a major renovation."
"This was our big family vacation this summer. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We brought our Lilly pad, trampoline that floats in the water, sea does, and our fishing poles. The front porch of the cabin was great with all the windows. It had lots of seating areas to accommodate everyone. If I were in the cabin, I still felt like I was part of the action outside since it was so close to the water. One recommendation is to have inside locks (higher deadbolts on doors would work) that work well since we have a son with autism and would easily start wandering around without an adult present. We had to put furniture in front of doors to wake us up if he decided to leave the cabin at night. Luckily he was tired enough, he never tried to go outside at night. There were lots of condiments left behind from others. There was a toaster, vacuum, and broom/dust pan. Our kids enjoyed the lofts. Yes, there were dead bugs in the corners but honestly that’s what you are going to get at the lake. It didn’t bother us. All in all, we plan to be back! Thank you for allowing us to come."
"Nice and quiet. Looked like it’s a Family run business. Was hoping for a better breakfast selection. Maybe sausage or eggs. But not this time. They did have muffins and waffles as well as cereals."
"We had an amazing stay! The young woman who checked us in was very kind. We were ready to check in right at 3:00, so she went up to make sure we would walk into a clean room. She informed us they were short staffed, so she was unsure if it had been cleaned or not. It was clean, so we were good to go.
The suite was amazing! Very spacious and clean. It us located on the corner of two somewhat busy streets. I was surprised how quiet was. With the exception of a very occasional motorcycle, we heard nothing.
Very comfortable bed. We were surprised at the amenities. Our rate was extremely reasonable for what we booked.
I would very highly recommend Washburn Suites. Located adjacent to Washburn University. 10/10!"
"The cabin was fantastic and even more than expected. It was very CLEAN and so well stocked with linens, plates & cooking utensils, and SO MANY TOILETRIES. The fire pit was wonderful and stocked with wood! Thank you so much for a beautiful time! The host was outstanding!"
