Air conditioning does not work and looks like probably not worked for many years. Decor is VERY tatty and looks like nothing been done for more than 20 years. It was very hot in high 30s during our visit so we had to have windows open but as it is more like a motel than a hotel we did not feel very secure having windows adjacent to public area open. Although they have a bar they ONLY serve alcohol if you buy a meal at same time.

The property was very basic but clean. The most irrating thing was the cleaning staff. On the first day you have the normal do not disturb sign in your day which we placed on the door to not be disturbed in the morning. However, the cleaning staff removed the sign from the door and walked straight into the room without knocking or giving any warning. This was awful. We were staying in a group and it happened to many people on multiple mornings. After the first day the do not disturb sign was never returned to the room.
We went out early in the morning (for sports) and then returned for a sleep so wanted to avoid the cleaning staff waking us up. Whilst we were out they removed our towels but then over an hour later returned to the room without knocking or giving warning to clean the room and bring new towels but they woke us up.
Awful service, very impolite and could easily be solved by reading the do not disturb sign which saves the hotel time and money and keeps happy guests. Why did they remove the do not disturb sign (across multiple rooms) after the first day? Why do the cleaning staff just walk straight into your room whilst you are sleeping without warning?
Often many of the rooms were left open by cleaning staff so security was very lax. These problems could be easily addressed by management if they care about their guests.

Very disappointing.
The hotel air conditioning had broken down and the first two days were particularly warm. The room facilities were very basic though reasonably clean. The buffet breakfast was minimal with warm coffee at best and, on three days, an absence of cold milk. There did not appear to be anyone available to replenish stocks.

Not a great experience
It was not a great experience. Wifi was not working in the room and the girl at the reception was helpless. No hot water in the evening after the arrival of a big group of chinese tourists. The restaurant was closed (so we have been told at the arrival but the restaurant was actually open only for a group of young athletes....). The price was nice and we got what we paid for.
My primary reaction is that the room was quite dirty and rough. The hotel was listed as 3 stars. I would give it 2 if I were generous. Having said that, it was cheap and convenient near the freeway. It is an OK place to sleep if that is all you need and your standards are flexible.

Not a 5* hotel, but a clean, safe, good value place to spend the night with friendly staff and a good restaurant nearby.
