Convenient, Nice Complex

The complex was lovely: lots of vacation amenities and very well taken care of. My particular unit was fine, with a few reasons for 4 stars instead of 5. Before my trip, I paid extra for the air conditioning, but I arrived to a super hot and stuffy space in the evening after a long day of travel. The a/c hadn't been on and the remotes weren't in the room and the office closes at 5PM so I couldn't get them. I also did not like that the only lock on the door to the unit was a super easy-to-pick handle lock. Also the noise from people just walking around in the unit upstairs was loud enough to keep me from sleeping.

Nice resort

Having stayed at a different unit in the past we were disappointed at the sparseness of this unit- no beach equipment, no spices not even salt and pepper, the hair dryer in the main bathroom was deemed unsafe by my husband who is an electrician,the toilet in the main bathroom was a mess, and there was only one tea towel in the unit? Some of these issues were addressed when we spoke to the front desk but we haven't had to complain in the past . We love Kanaloa but will be careful to choose a different unit next time
