I had been driving for almost 7 hours straight and was looking forward to a warm, welcoming stay at the hotel, but the relief never came. Once I entered my room and turned the light on, I was greeted with a heavily stained carpet and chairs with mysterious marks on them. When I tried locking the door, the top sliding lock looked to be broken which put me on edge for the rest of my stay. Though the bathroom tile was much cleaner, there was still hair in the sink and poop stains in the toilet (presumptuously from the last guests). Considering everything else I had encountered up to that point, I was distrustful of the bed even if it looked clean. Really, the entire room put me on edge and it took a while to settle myself enough to sleep. However, when I awoke some hours later, I readied myself, packed up and checked out of the inn still tired and much sooner than originally planned. Truth be told, I felt safer sleeping in my car than in that room. It'd be safe to say that I won't be staying at this Holiday Inn location again.
