Vicki was amazing, super accomodating and friendly. I was out of my comfort zone coming to Kalgoorlie and didn’t want to venture out but Vicki made staying at the federal feel safe, clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend

I knew about the renovations happening which didnt bother me. Nice tidy room and comfortable bed. Cant wait to stay again when its all complete.

Really clean room and has welcoming staff however, the shared bathroom and toilet facilities took me by surprise. Great rates, so I can't really complain.

Comfortable, efficient, cheap. Lovely to sit on the old federation first floor verandah and meet the longer-term guests while looking down the golden mile and soaking up the sun on an otherwise chilly Winter day. They’re renovating this historic old pub - support them if you don’t want the experience of staying in an old Aussie pub to become little more than a memory; there’s history in these walls, roofs, and boards. I’ll stay there again if I’m passing through Kalgoorlie.

A blast from the past

Very old design and layout in bedrooms. Squeeky floors, very old doors and windows, drafty. Mens bathroom is very good and reasonably modern. They are slowly doing the place up and modernising the accommodation.

Handy location. Hotel undergoing major renovation, so not open for normal business. Website shows ensuite in room but only has communal bathroom. "Balcony" is actually a shared verandah.

I had an enjoyable 3 days. However it wasn’t till the day I arrived i was informed it was having a refurbishment. No restaurant no bar and had an issue with wifi for 2 nights. Looking forward to when it’s completed

Property was very cold and toilets/showers are down the stairs next to an external door that was wedged open (24/7) for tradies working on the property.

1. Under construction, which it should not be safe for Commercial Hotel Purposes 2. Smelling Paints, making you awake 3. Lack of lighting when you walking up on stair 4. Share Bathrooms, only one female toilet with bathroom 5. No security, indigenous housing cross the road, they hang out in front of the property, get ready to be harassed, left rubbish behind, no security or staff on-site 6. After 9pm, there is a lady talking on the hallway, you won't be able to sleep 7. Aircon filters never been cleaned
