"Wataya = WOW! From the second we arrive... I'm so happy Aaron chose this place. The staff is a family that has owned and operated this wonderful house for 7 generations! We chill in the onsen chatting loudly as we are the only guests today, return to the room to relax looking at the garden during twilight. Dinner is served! "Amazing stay - couldn’t recommend more. The staff are incredibly attentive and helpful, the hotel is set in a beautiful location and the entire experience is flawless. The food is excellent as well, although it’s worth noting that both the dinner and breakfast are very generous meals - best not to eat too much beforehand! "Breakfast was good with options for both adults and kids. I didn’t like having to get amenities on the first floor, rather than having them in the room already. The bed was okay, but probably the least comfortable on my trip so far. I have a bad back and I found myself tossing and turning a lot overnight. The hotel is close to a bus stop, which made getting around very easy. "

"Good location, close to local amenities including shops/eateries and most major attractions. The main train station is approximately a 15min walk away which was convenient. The room was compact, but manageable for a couple of nights and was clean. Check in and out was quick and efficient and we were able to leave our luggage after checkout whilst we explored for the rest of the afternoon which was super helpful. Can't vouch for the breakfast as we didn't have this included, but free hot water and coffee were available in the lobby. The lobby however stunk of cigarettes as there was a smoking area nearby."
