The hotel is located up the hill, 4km hilly drive to the main road. Good thing is it's very secluded, all quiet and tranquil in the middle of some small villages and tea farms. We had a short trip to Ella and booked Hotel Onrock for one night. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill and was a bit tricky to find but once we found it, I could not fault anything about the hotel. It was very clean and well maintained. Our host, Sanjaya, provided a warm welcome. Literally as he brought a portable heater into our room as the weather took a chilly turn. Great staff who could not have been more helpful with suggestions and with an umbrella! Breakfast was good too.

Nice and different accommodation
Nice beds, nice house with kitchen. Amazing service and nice breakfast from staff🙏 It was more cold in July than we expected - our bad, and the distance to town made it more complicated to eat in town. Nice restaurants in town! Amazing view, clouds coming in around the mountain and town.
