Trade winds

Ocean in front of the hotel was too choppy for swimming most of the time, but there are several other beaches nearby.

Comfy bed and nice accommodations

I enjoy the balcony view and waking up to watch the sunrise over the ocean. Bed was very comfortable, and kitchen adequately stocked. Shower was amazing. Being on the 2nd floor wasn't too bad. Friendly front desk staff. The listing says theres a washer in the room but there is not, theres a laundry room on the property. The sliding door rail needs to be cleaned better, kinda gross looking and having to put the bar in place (additional lock protection) it not pleasant.

Island Escape

2nd visit to this resort. Grounds are well kept, great location rather middle of island and this condo has a really nice view. The condo has been remodeled but has a moldy/old smoke smell. Housekeeping could spend a bit more time on floors and counters: I cleaned both upon arrival. Nothing horrid just not cleaned well. View and location being what they are, I’d stay again.

Pono Kai

The view of the water was nice — if you could see it. Very dirty windows. Realizing that ocean properties are hard to keep with sparkling windows, but a little effort would have been helpful. Outdoor furniture should be replaced. Very dirty. Adequately equipped kitchen. WiFi outage caused us to have to use another’s WiFi service & housekeeping couldn’t help. Some housekeeping for a 5-day stay should be provided, even if just towel service.

Anniversary trip

With the pandemic behind us, we finally were able to book our anniversary trip! Upon arriving to Pono Kai, we were greeted warmly by the front desk. Check in was easy. Had problems with our keys on several occasions. Front desk took care of it. Had a memorable time! Thank you to all!
