Rustic Waterfront Log Cabin

Come enjoy the peaceful waterfront and relax in this cozy, clean lakeside log cabin in the Kootenays. Steps from beautiful Kootenay Lake, the cabin provides easy access for boating, paddle boarding, kayaking & fishing. Recently updated with new kitchen appliances, flooring and air conditioning. Enjoy the picnic table, propane BBQ and steps to the lakeshore.

Located 5 km south of Kaslo and 15 km north of Ainsworth Hot Springs.
Cabin is available for Year Round bookings.

3 nights minimum stay, non-smokers only please.

Great location, nice beach area with fire pit. You might want to bring an axe for kindling. The upstairs loft has steep stairs and a low ceiling. If you're tall or have mobility issues you'll find it a bit challenging. Hammocks would make a great addition. Overall it's a cool, little cabin on Kootenay Lake.

Despite proximity to host's home there was plenty of privacy on the lakeside of the cabin. There was some noise from the roadway, but minimal. Cabin and grounds were very clean, and the kitchen/sitting area/bathroom were well appointed and comfortable. Guests should be aware that steep, narrow stairs could be difficult to navigate for some, and sleeping loft has very low ceilings that prevent standing upright. This neighborhood currently has a boil water advisory. Despite this we had a lovely stay and look forward to a return visit.

Excellent little cabin with a great view. Located ideally to go explore in all directions. Kaslo a few kms away in one direction and Ainsworth a few away the other direction. We really enjoyed our stay

We Loved This Cozy Cabin

We had a great 4 nights staying at this cozy little cabin. After we were greeted by our host, we settled into the cabin, immediately noticing how clean and welcoming it was. The location is wonderful, right on the lake, as well as the accessibility to it, right off the main road. Our only challenge was the spotty wifi, but it didn't bother us too much. We highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway.

Amazing Place

We just loved it. Our host was lovely and nature was spectacular. We will definitely return if we can. Note that sleeping quarters are in a loft up a steep staircase and beds are low to the ground. The fresh lake air coming in the window made for a restful night.

Just what I needed

My companion and I arrived well after dark after 10 hours on the road. The host waited up for us to give us the key personally. We both audibly gasped the moment we stepped into the space. Pleasant vacation

A really peaceful and adventurous week. Hiked so many trails nearby, and saw the salmon returning to spawn and being eaten by black bears. Had an awesome time exploring the lake with my kayak. Such a nice cabin to enjoy, with the BBQ, a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Thanks for the help during my stay, and for a nice Summer holiday!

life on the lake is good!

We love staying here!! The proof of that is how we keep coming back! Janet, her family and her dogs are awesome people and the cabin is absolutely perfect! We love everything about the cabin - and now with the air conditioner it's even better! Rustic, clean, you have everything you need and you feel relaxed the moment you step in!! The lakeshore is right out the back door of the cabin and is spectacular! We our tie up our little boat on their brand new dock and cruise and fish all day! Kaslo is about a five minute drive away so you're near everything (really close to mirror lake where we also catch small mouth bass!). I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants some serious relaxation and for time to truly stand still - except don't book when we plan on coming back again next year!! (Ha!) Thanks Janet - you're the best!!!

Great spot!

Our son wanted to stay in a little log cabin by the lake and this was the perfect place! Quaint and authentic but with any amenities we could need. The location is lovely. We enjoyed our time in nearby Kaslo and exploring the beaches there and at Mirror Lake and Fletcher Falls. The best was sitting or walking along the lakeshore right here though. So beautiful and peaceful. Thanks to our host for a lovely stay!
