Relaxing weekend away

We had a great time staying at Lisa's house in Katoomba. It was very central to the UTA running hub that we were there for, and also an easy walk up to the main shops and cafes in Katoomba.

Excellent small group accom in heart of Katoomba

Mountain Ash is a great property for a small group in the heart of Katoomba.Good sized rooms with a good variation of options (doubles, single rooms, bunk downstairs - though this was originally difficult to find as the stairs are in a sneaky spot).Great living areas and huge dining table to get the whole group around, great kitchen with helpful middle table/island/prep bench.Would definitely stay again.

Lovely break in the Mountains

The house was exactly what we wanted, and the Property Manager was very helpful. The house is so quiet, as is the surrounding area. The outside patio was great to sit and listen to the birds, and just relax. Our bedrooms were lovely. I can't fault the house, and would happily stay there again.

Generous sized house with 2 large living areas and plenty of room for kitchen / dining to house the 7 of us. The weather was very chilly but it was nice and warm inside the house. Very conveniently located to Katoomba town centre & attractions like Scenic World.

Relaxing

A group of 7 Christian women away for a weekend retreat. The accommodation was perfect.Two large sitting areas to relax in. The dining table was big enough for all of us to eat at. The kitchen was really well appointed. Would highly recommended the property. It wasn’t too far into town to the shops. I walked to the Three sisters Lookout.

Our family of 6 found this very spacious, with plenty of room to accomodate more. We could all sit comfortably around the large table to enjoy meals and games. The heating and electric blankets made the stay warm in winter. The kitchen was well equiped. Communication with hosts was easy. Highly recommend this property.

Great Location For Us

Just checked out this morning and spent the weekend there for UTA. Short walk to Scenic World and this year the 100km race went past the house so we could cheer people from the front driveway. House is so warm with the central heating throughout. It was just the two of us but the house is huge and caters for many more. Very comfortable stay. Cleaners just need to check under furniture and bedrooms for any rubbish and lost property as we found some on our arrival. This wouldn't stop us from staying again though. Well stocked kitchen.

Pros: Check in was easy, house was spacious and quiet with off street parking which we appreciated and a nice large, eat in kitchen. Blue rays and chess set were utilised by the kids so thank you. They also enjoyed the large yard. The central heating was also a nice suprise. Host was good at communicating and even followed us up when she thought we had left something behind which was kind. Cons: the house was pretty pricey, but the level of cleanliness could have been better - Main areas were ok, but places like windowsills and under furniture were pretty dusty (we even found a couple of old dirty socks under the beds when checking out) and some of the doona covers supplied were stained. The upstairs of the house was in fair condition, although dated and needing a bit of TLC, but I wouldn't recommend utilising the downstairs....the door to outside was held closed with a piece of wood jammed into the door frame and the bathroom looked very unpleasant (had a hole in the wall and we worried it may have been damaged fibre cement sheets so we kept the kids away...). Our extra adult dropped out the day before, but I would have felt bad if she had slept down there. Luckily, we only needed to use upstairs, which was comfortable.
